I'm not looking for a huge political debate. I have been reading a bit about Ron Paul and would like to know from his Supporters why you believe he is the best canidate to lead our country? I respect everyones opinions but please only those who support him answer. Thank you.

What can I do next?

He adds a very important voice to the political debate. He doesn't change his positions to fit the mood of the electorate, he understands the Constitution better than anybody else and he's not a liar. His economic policy ideas need to be given serious thought.

He is a fiscal conservative and social liberal. That's me in a nutshell and that's why I like him. He has a few views that bother me a bit. But then not as many as the other candidates or our current "leader."

Somebody just asked this question the other day. I'll put exactly what I said:

I love Ron Paul. Of course some of the things he says scare us but they need to be done! He doesn't say what he thinks people want to hear to get their votes.... which is why he will never win. I wish more people would wake up and realize this country is headed for horrible times if we don't start doing something drastic. Every branch of government seems so corrupt these days, its hard to trust anyone. But I really feel like I can trust him. Love Ron Paul!!

I support Ron Paul for many reasons...although I don't think he's the best to run our country - but he really wants to go back to the way our Founding Fathers set up our country - by the Constitution...a smaller, LIMITED government...and wants all legislation to be Constitutional.

He wants to go back to the Gold Standard - which scares the living bejesus out of some people as well.

He wants to get a fair tax - abolish the IRS in essence and get a fair tax with Representation going...and that would make a world of difference!! :)

He wants the people to take some responsibility back - be RESPONSIBLE and productive citizens.

There are things about him I don't "like"....however, there is not going to be one perfect candidate. There is NO quick fix. He knows and understands this...

Unlike many politicians he keeps his word. He does not let money and power influence him. He does what he says he is going to do.

Ron Paul has pledged never to raise taxes and states he has never voted to approve a budget deficit. He believes that the country could abolish the individual income tax by scaling back federal spending; financing government operations would be primarily by the corporate income tax, excise taxes and tariffs. He endorses eliminating most federal government agencies, terming them unnecessary bureaucracies. And that's just for starters. He's a very reasonable, rational, intelligent person.

I love Ron Paul, he will be getting my vote in this upcoming presidential election. He hasn't said one thing that I don't agree with. LESS GOVERNMENT, DO AWAY WITH THE FED and the IRS. He has been predicting the future of our country since the 80's and has been spot on, read some of his books. He's very smart and understands what it will take to put our country back on track, the way that it was meant to be by our founding fathers.
