River Tubing/Boat Rental

I am desperately looking for a good surprise for my DH's birthday this July. He said the only thing he wants is to "be on the water with a drink in my hand." Before we moved here, we used to go river tubing- not whitewater rafting, but more like a lazy river type of situation. A company would drive you up the river and rent you tubes. We'd tow sodas and beer behind us and float down to where we'd park. Is there anything like that in the surrounding area? Barring that, how about inexpensive boat rental? Something with a motor, not a canoe or kayak. Thanks to everyone!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I've checked the links to things like Cooks Forest and Raccoon but they're all just info about the parks. There is no information about float trips at all. I am really surprised to have found NOTHING, no information anywhere. Any of the places I have called have led to total dead ends. No one even seems to know what I am talking about. I know in Atlanta this was a popular way to spend a Saturday- google searches turn up places in TN or OK, TX, and AL. It must be a southern thing? It is really a crime how little Pgh uses their rivers. I don't even know of a single restaurant on the water! Amazing. I am not giving up yet so please, let me know if you have any other suggestions!

This might not be what you are thinking about, but how about Sandcastle? They have the lazy river, and there is a bar there, but I guess you can't do both at the same time! It is still a fun place to visit.

You could easily do a day trip to Forest County, about two and a half hours north of here, and river tube on the Clarion river.

One place. There are inexpensive cabin rentals, and lots of campgrounds around there, too, if you wanted to make a weekend out of it. Cooks Forest is by the AlleghenY National Forest, it is beautiful, and there is lots to do if you like the outdoors.
