Hello!

We will need to put our baby into daycare soon and worry a lot about putting her into a bad one. We are new to Texas and would very much appreciate any recommendations you have on the good day care centers available.

Thank you very much!

Some great recommendations, but if you would like a full list of regulated/licensed child care in the area, you may want to call the region's child care resource and referral service. Our region is managed by Camp Fire. You can do a free search online, but I would strongly suggest using the $10 service at very minimum. The great thing is they also give you check lists and things to evaluate from an educator's perspective to identify a quality program. Here is a link to the website that has their phone number on it.

Best of luck! You cannot be too careful with your little ones.

My son has been at Childtime (off Sublett and Southeast Parkway) for 3 years. We have really liked it there and he has been really happy.

Children's Courtyard. SO WORTH THE PRICE. My son went there for years and loved every minute of it. I never had to worry about him and even now when we drive by he says "I loved the Children's Courtyard!" He's 16 now. They were awesome. He went to the one at Green Oaks at Ball Park Way which was great, then the one at Pleasant Ridge and Kelly Elliott after we moved to the South side of Arlington. It was even better.

If you're in North Arlington, I recommend Little Shepherd on Lamar Blvd. by Whole Foods. It's an arm of Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church and both my children have been cared for by them. The director is phenomenal and they have a very low turnover rate. One of the women in the baby room is the same person who cared for my now 6-year-old son when he was a baby. It's a small school and the teachers all know the children.
