Recommendations on Local Christian Churches

I was curious to hear some opinions on christian churches in my area (Suwanee). I've been attending a christian church in another town for the last 3 months and I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on Christian churches in Suwanee. I would love to participate in a local church, and a church that is UPBEAT!! A church that can offer Sunday school for my kids and a church that has a "contemporary" approach to teachings of the Bible.

What can I do next?

M.,

I belong to Destiny Church in Buford and I love it!! If you are still looking for that special connection you should check it out! It is contemporary and upbeat and the pastors deliver messages each week that hit home and inspire thought. Check out the website at 4yourdestiny.org to get some more information. It's not in Suwanee but it's not far from here and definitely worth the 15-20 minute drive.

Do I have a church for you! Christian City Church Atlanta on Walther Blvd near the IHOP off Lawrencville Suwanee Rd. Near the shopping center with Home Depot and AMC theaters.

Our church is very upbeat with awesome praise and worship. Everyone will make you feel welcome and there are many opportunities to connect with people and do fun things. Pastor Dean is wonderful. We are having a BYFY conference first week in August for the young people and a leadership conference in August. Please come visit. You will NOT be disappointed and we would love to have you. Church is at 9:30 or 11:00 Sunday morning. We also have Sunday night church for under 30 crowd and Wednesday night service at 7:00. We also have an awesome Solo (Single) Moms ministry and will soon be giving fully packed school back packs to kids who need them. (we will be stuffing them tonight.)

Hope to see you soon. I will be ushering this Sunday morning at the early service. Maybe I will see you there!

My address is Suwanee but I'm on the cusp of Cumming. I attend Lakeland Community church (whose address is Cumming) and I love it. We have around 200 members, so it's not a huge church, but it's not tiny either. We have a children's program, which includes Sunday school and a service during the adult service. You can check out our website for a little more information. www.lakelandchurch.com We'd be glad to have you!

Hi, M.,

I hope you find a church, no matter which one you choose. We attend Crossroads Community Church right on Hwy 20. If you were coming from 316 towards Athens, you'd make a left on 20 and drive a few miles. It's on the left and can't be missed. Russel/Ridge Road would be the road you'd come to at the Kroger shopping center if you passed the church. If you kept going down 20, you'd eventually come to the Mall of Georgia after about 10 minutes. Hopefully, that gives you an idea of where it is.

Crossroads has a wonderful kids program called Kidsco. They attend their own worship service while you attend yours. The style of the church is very contemporary, and the church utilizes a lot of multimedia. For better directions and more information, you can look at the web site: crossroadsconnect.com

Best of luck!

I would love to invite you to my church.
It is Free Chapel in Gainesville. VERY UPBEAT, Contemorary, WONDERFUL childrens program. I cannot say enough about this church, and how blessed I have been since I began attending almost 2 years ago. If I lived 2 hours away, I would drive it every Sunday and Wed to be there! Just an annointed place.
You can watch the services live on-line...but it is not to be compared to feeling God moving in that place!
www.freechapel.org
Services are 9:00am & 11:00am on Sunday
7:00pm on Wed
once per month they have a Sunday pm service
The only downfall is that it is huge...that does go to show how amazing it is, but it is hard to connect with other members. They do have "small groups" which meet weekly to study the Bible and discuss the prior message or the message of the week. I have met wonderful people through my small goup.
If you have anymore questions, let me know!
GOD BLESS,
B.
