My gas dryer has decided to quit on me, and before replacing it I was wanting to have a repair man come out and look at it. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, trustworthy appliance repair service, preferably close to the Southwest Suburbs? Or let me know if there any that you have had a bad experience with. Thanks!!!

Here is what you do. Call Sears, pay the 200 something dollars for everything in your home. It is a service contract for every appliance in your home to be serviced if something goes wrong. You don't have to have bought it from Sears it is wonderful. I purchased it and have everything that broke fixed for that one fee that I paid for the entire year. Call Sears to get more info.

Hi, T.
Sears will repair your no matter where you bought from or how long you have had it. They will also tell you if replacing it is best.

My family and family business has used Chris K. at the Appliance K. for years, totally trust him.
###-###-####.
He has saved my old dryer/washer set for years, since they just don't make them like the used to! Good Luck.

Hey T.! I'm in Oak Lawn, and I have always used "Tom's Appliance." They repaired our washer, dryer, garbage diposal, stovetop, and oven...all at different times! They are super people! I have been lucky enough to have had "Tom" do the service call himself. Although no service call is probably going to seem cheap, I feel like they are really reasonable. They also know how to talk with the homeowner, and explain and even show the broken parts to you. (I was able to watch every repair that was done...just out of pure curiosity/nosy-ness.) The parts that were repaired in the dryer were even left with me to show my hubby. They explain warranties/costs/pros and cons/options/etc. They also sell appliances, too, and stand behind the sales. Tom himself is such a nice guy, and his repair guys are very professional, too! When I call, the lady who usually answers the phone is friendly, and the repair guy usually is able to come out that day. I think they might be out of Worth, but I'm not sure...somewhere close, though. The number is ###-###-####...or ###-###-####. This info is off the magnet on the fridge, but they are in the yellow pages, too. Take care, neighbor!
