Call Best Appliance Repair, Gil Hagemann, ###-###-####. They came out and gave me an estimate and they had to buy a part for the refrigerator so they came the second time and put the part in. It was fast and easy and at a good price.

I was less than impressed with Sears too. I have twice used Appliance Rescue Service ###-###-#### and been very happy with them! They were quick, friendly and reasonably priced.

check and see if your frig. is level. if not then that could be your problem. it needs to be level so that the door will swing shut.

I use Freeman Appliance Repair and have been very happy for many years. He saved me quite a bit on a Sears frig last summer by pointing out that a problem should be covered by manufacturer's warranty even though the frig was outside the regular Sears warranty; he told me what to say to fight for my rights. Hi A., I used Appliance Repair a number I found from a sign. After talking to the owner Eddie on the phone several times I asked if he could fix the new front loading washers and when he was available... He came the same day and in 20 mins my washer was working like new. I don't know if he has any experience in refrigerators, but he has worked for Maytag, Sears and Kenmore. A. I've always been a do it yourself gal. I wanted to save all the money I could for my family. Your booklet that came with the frig should have an 800 and just ask for technical assistance. go to lowe's or home depot and inquire if they have any type of refridgerator stripping. if you can remove the old stripping and apply the new that would save in a repair person.

There is a shop in North Dallas at Plano Road and Forest its a little south of the intersection - called Adam the Answerman- ###-###-#### its a repair shop that carries or can order parts for appliances. I found them real helpful! they have Saturday hours too - The gentlemen are very knowledgable and will pull up schematics on just about any appliance out there old or new.

They helped me fix a 25 year old spare regerigerator when it wouldnt cool any longer - very inexpensive and helped me n the phone when I was in there with a screwdriver.... imagine that!

Just for the record, you're not the only one sour on Sears appliance repair. They came out to fix my dryer, and a the next day when I tried to use my dryer (which said it was working fine and fixed), it had a new and different problem, making an awful clanking sound; when my husband called to get them back out to fix what they had very obviously done to the dryer, they said it would be 2 weeks (whent the first time they came out it was within a couple of days)! Very funny how when they are getting paid to fix an appliance, they rush right out, but when they have to fix something that they won't get paid on and something their repair man has done, they take their time. . .

You can replace it yourself! You can get the seal from Home Depot, and it will be TONS cheaper than having somebody come out and do it for you. If you want more help just google, "replace refrigerator seal".

Replacing a leaky seal is a fairly easy task. First, you'll have to remove the
existing rubber door seal little by little. There are screws inserted around the perimeter of the seal that hold it on. Be careful not to remove all of the screws at once, or your refrigerator door could come apart!

Unscrew a few screws at a time, and remove the rubber seal underneath. Before you install the new seal, you may have to straighten it out first so it lies flat. An easy way to make it more flexible is to toss it into your clothes dryer for three to four minutes.

Then, remove the rubber replacement seal from your dryer and place it on your refrigerator door, on the section you have removed the old seal from. Straighten it out and slip it underneath the lip. Replace the screws and tighten them securely. Repeat this process as you work your way along the entire perimeter of
the replacement seal. That is, remove a few screws; remove the old seal; put the replacement seal into place; replace the screws and tighten them.
