Rebate Processing

I saw Angela B's questions about survey work.. doesn't sound like a good idea. What about sites that suggest you can get work processing rebates for companies? Anyone had experience with this? I found one person suggested a company in Tempe but at 5 to 25 cents per item that is not enough money.... why do the online sites say the rebate companies pay $15 per rebate you process?

What can I do next?

I researched a lot of those companies online that suggest rebate processing and I have yet to find one that actually PAYS YOU to do the work. Most of it is a scam to get you to buy their program. Some even just show you how to sell a book and process some sort of rebate associated with it. I suggest googling anything and everything that you look at to see what info comes up on the companies or programs. There is a company in Tempe (South Mountain resort area) that actually does rebates for big companies. I worked for them for a few months. But it isn't working from home and you are given an hourly pay.

Hey M.,
I was the one who posted about CPG on the other request a few days ago. It's been more than a year since I worked for them so I wouldn't doubt that what Shelly said is true. My problem was that they wanted me on a schedule that was feasable to drive there and drop off and pickup from where I lived, my hubby calculated that we were spending more in gas than I was making so I stopped. I know they're legit, they provide training and then give you the basic data entry program to do it. It wasn't hard and you're paid for the work you do, so it could be worse. If you live near them, it's not a bad gig for pocket money.

I work with Melaleuca and alot of our team were teachers wishing to stay home with their kids. We have a lot successful families. It is not survey or rebate work, but it might work for you. You could interview us to see if it is a match for you. My website is www.MyHomeCottageBiz.com

Not sure why the online sites claim a much higher rate but I processed rebates for the company in Tempe and I was paid 25 cents per piece when I started and was getting 50 cents per piece when I quit and I was processing rebates for HP, Home Depot, Lowe's and other large companies. Stay away from anything that says you have to pay to get the information, it is a scam.
