My daughter refused to move for my husband, but she loved kicking him in the back.

To this day she does EVERYTHING her way.

Your movement puts the baby to sleep. It's when you stop moving that she become 'awake'. I guess it's prep for when she comes...lol.

This is the very reason for Samuel L Jackson's famous Lullaby "now go the F@#! to sleep". If you haven't heard it, google it. It's hysterical.

I tell my daughter the story of when she was in my belly and after doing yoga, getting ready for meditation in lotus, she would kick so fiercely that on the third 'om' there was no mindful concentration. She had my full attention. She loves that story. And night time, same thing. She was quite happy to sleep when I was active all day. Oddly, she is a mellow kid and sleeps well now, so go figure. Great feeling! To feel the life in you growing and thriving. New meaning to alive and kicking: )

My daughter was always active around 10:30 pm, just as I was lying down to sleep. Just so you know, those old wives' tales about the active time of your baby will mean awake time when she arrives are so not true. That time of night was not her active time at all. In fact, she is usually sleeping at that time.

Lol! This is why I wake my babies up during the day while pregnant! That and that way the babe has it's days and night correct when born.

Rub belly vigorously several times a day, I used to to it every time I needed to pee...

Can you sleep in a recliner? Laying down on your side really gets em riled up.

My dr recommended I lay down to test baby movement. He said lay on your side and count how many movements in a 60 second period. That's how he told me to make baby move!

My daughter... was JUST like that!
And she is a great girl.
Nothing hyper, like how she was in my tummy.

Oh dear. YES. My son kicked ferociously from 1:00 am - 6:00 am EVERY morning. From about 18 weeks until the day I gave birth. He really kicked and moved almost constantly, but that was the most intense. I remember I would get so worried when he had a moments rest, because I was so used to him moving all the time. My dog used to lay her head on my stomach and sometimes her head would pop up confused, because he had kicked her in the head!!

Now that he's out and 2.5, not much as changed. He's still as wiggly and active!!
