In the past any time i shaved my legs, they would be smooth, well for the last 6 months or so, when ever i shaved i would get dozens and dozens of red bumps all over my legs, doesnt matter is the razor is new and sharp or dull, i still get them, i have tried to change brands considering that is what the brand of razor i use, still got the red bumps, does anyone know if the electric razors are any goods and if so what brands and what do they range in price? Or am i better off getting my legs waxed every few weeks? please it doesnt feel good to run my hands across my legs and all i feel are bumps instead of the smoothness they should be

What can I do next?

I had the same problem after either shaving or waxing. My doctor suggested applying tea tree oil on my skin after removing my hair by either methods and it worked, no more bumps. I bought the oil from Trader Joes. It has a strong smell but works perfectly.

Have you tried changing the type of shaving cream you are using instead of the razor. Sometimes your skin can develop a sensitivity to the soap or shave cream you are using. Try using one for sensitive skin - or try what I use...hair conditioner. It sounds funny, but it makes the hairs soft and easier for the razor to cut and it moisturizes the skin so that those dry bumps don't happen. Give it a go and good luck.

Its time to start waxing! I had the same issue and starting waxing because of it and I will never go back! It last much longer and with every waxing less hair grows back.

I know this is a little late, but due to holidays, anyhow I have super sensitive skin and if you rub your legs (or wherever you shave) with baby oil as soon as you get out of the shower the bumps dont come. Good luck and Happy New Year!

Try using your hair conditioner instead of soap or a shaving cream.

Waxing is way too painful for me and I just don't like shaving. A friend of mine turned me on to Veet which is a hair remover. It actually works. I had tried Neet a couple of times through the years and it didn't work at all but Veet works. Try it!

I discovered a product called TendSkin when I was trying to deal with the same problem around my bikini line. It works really well in this kind of situation. I would definitely give it a try!

Dear D.,
First I suggest Arbonne Men's shave gel while reducing the nicks, the gel will help to condition the skin. You may also be having a reaction to the products you've been using, thus the redness. Just because a product works today, it may not work tomorrow. Our skin changes due to enviroment, foods we eat or medications we take. Next, make sure your legs are warm before you shave. That way you don't cut the skin. Waxing will get you a nice feel to your skin. However, you will experience in-grown hairs! OUCH! as your hairs grow.
Please email me @ ____@____.com for more information regarding Arbonne. K.
