I am so sorry about your losses. I experienced miscarriages both ways. The first time it happened I was 10 weeks along, I started cramping and bleeding at home. I went into emergency and they said it was an inpending miscarriage, which means it was going to happen, they sent me home and it happened at home, it was a horrible experience and I had to be rushed back to the ER because I was passing out from losing so much blood. The second time, again I was 10 weeks along, I went in for the US and they could not find the heartbeat. I decided on the D&C, because I just did not want to go through it like the first time. The D&C was not bad, you are not put all the way out, but I told them I did not want any memory of it happenening and did not want to feel anything. I was told before I had it that some women just pop a motrin! There was no way I was just popping a pain pill, it is an intense pychological experience as well as a physical. I had pain and cramping for a few days and that was it. For me, personally, the D&C was a little easier, (I don't like saying that because it still is a loss of my baby) but it was so scary going through a miscarriage at home. Hope this helps, good luck and God Bless.
