Question About Born Free Bottles

I'm not sure about the Born Free bottles but I've heard that evenflo comfort ease is very similar to avent and is BPA free. it also says on the box that it is "similar to avent." they're also alot cheaper. I tried to post info earlier (it got removed) about babies r us taking avent bottles back. They are taking used avent bottles (nipple, ring, lid and bottle) back and letting you exchange them for BPA free. they give you the current market price. you don't have to have a receipt either. I just took 6 of the 4 oz bottles in today and got $28 towards BPA free. Just thought i'd try to let ya'll know.

I hate to say this because I know those bottles are expensive, but I have stopped using mine. I spent $90 online ordering a set of them (before they were carried at the Babies R Us store), and got rid of them for my $15 playtex drop-ins. Yes - the born free nipple does collapse and my son had alot of difficultly getting a good seal on the nipple. Because of that, he was sucking in alot of excess air and these bottles made his reflux so much worse. I switched to the drop-ins because (a) the liners are bpa free too; (b) I can squeeze all of the air out of the bag so he doesn't suck that in; and (c) he gets a great seal on the nipple.
I hope yours gets better. If not, at least the playtex ones are much cheaper!

I wish I had advice for you, but instead I have a question! I nursed both of my children, but my first born used Advent bottles for pumped feedings. My second refused ANY bottle and now I am pregnant with #3 and I am concerned about all of the hoopla surrounding the hundreds of Advent bottles I have! I want to use the Born Free bottles, but not clear on which of Born Free are best to use? Are they glass or a different kind of plastic? How do you clean them (I have 3 microwavable sterilizers)? Thank you and I am sorry that I am asking questions instead of offering advice!

I'm not sure about those kind of bottles but I bought playtex bottles that were curved. These bottles had an air vent on the bottom so that air bubbles can escape and not go in your baby. My son LOVED these bottles and didn't have any gas problems. I bought the bottles at Wal-Mart. Hopefully this helps you out!

yes i had that problem as well. i am usually a loyal dr. browns bottle user but thought i would try the born free and found that the nipple sink in cause they are not designed to reduce air so they sink in everytime the baby sucks the nipple. there is no solution you just have to get new bottles.i have twins too. a boy and a girl and my boy likes dr. browns and my girl likes playtex i would say either one of those would be a good choice
