I've made this one many times and it's a hit every single time, with every age group.
I usually use half the amount of sugar as called for in the recipe. It's just too sweet if you use more.

I am hosting my SIL baby shower on Sunday and thought I would find some new punch recipes!! What is your favorite punch that everyone just seems to love?!?

Party Punch
From Pillsbury's Complete Cookbook
Makes 15 ½-cup servings
1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (6 oz.) frozen orange juice, thawed
2 cups white grape juice, chilled
1 liter (4¼ cups) lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled
Just before serving, combine the lemonade and orange juice concentrates; blend well. Add grape juice and carbonated beverage; stir gently. Serve.
Mine is super easy & everyone loves it.
Two 2-liter bottle of white pop (7-UP, Sierra Mist, Mello Yello, Ginger Ale)
1 tub of sherbert
Mix the two together in a punch bowl & serve.
Good flavor combos:
Ginger Ale with Orange sherbert
7-UP with Raspberry or Strawberry sherbert
So easy a caveman can do it! =-) T.
I personally like the following:
Punch - regular Red Hawaiian Punch, 7up, and orange sherbert. I just dump the icecream into the punch bowl and then then pour the punch and soda at the same time over the sherbert. There are variations (like using other fruit punch, ginger ale or other lemon-lime soda, and/or rainbow sherbert) but I don't care for those. If you must subsitute something let it NOT be the sherbert. This is always a favorite for me, my son, and many others.
Fruit Punch - approximately equal parts Pineapple, Orange, Cranberry, and Grapefruit (like Ruby Red) juices. I like a bit more pineapple in mine that that's just me. We had this out one night and it was a island theme they called it Paradise Punch (I think), I had it for my daughter's party and called it Mermaid Punch, I have also seen it used and called Pirate Punch or whatever theme you might be doing. I love this one and those at my daughter's party did too (kids and adults).
How about some really good lemonade or limeade. Not everyone likes creamy punch in the heat.
Virgin Mojitos- (or not so virgin).
Lime juice, cane sugar, ice and muddled mint. Add rum and coconut milk.
My mom does raspberry watermelon lemonade. juice all the fruit, add water ice, and sugar.
Good luck to you and yours,
F. B.
I second TF's recommendation. LOVE that stuff. :) We used to have it at Halloween parties when I was a kid. (We used lime sherbet so it was green.) :)
This is very simple and probably not fancy enough but my daughter LOVES it and everytime we've had it at one of her parties, it is the first thing I continue to refill.
Any color sherbert you want from ice cream aisle, Ginger Ale
I just put the block of sherbert in the bowl, pour Ginger Ale over it and it is done. Tasty too!
This punch is always a hit at showers etc.
1 two liter of gingerale
1 two liter of cream soda
1 carton of lemonade(minute maid)
sherbert (maybe five scoops or so )
very refreshing !
With or without alcohol in it?
Here in Hawaii, we use Passion Fruit or Guava juice. Or Pineapple juice. It comes frozen. And 7-Up and sherbert in it. There are MANY variations of it.
For the non-alcohol version, just follow the recipe but don't put the alcohol in it. It tastes just great that way, too.
