A.P.
I was on progestrone suppositories through the 12th week of each of my pregnancies- after 2 miscarriages. My kids were both a week LATE! They both came out happy, healthy and plump. Good luck and think positive
I have been on the progesterone injections since 16 weeks. I am now 28 weeks pregnant with our 3rd baby. My 1st and 2nd were born 6 weeks early (I had a cerclage with the 2nd but not with the 1st). I would like to know if any of the other mothers used this method to help with the risk of preterm labor/delivery and did you notice anything different about the pregnancy verses the others. I am SO nervous and worry about having the baby too early since this time my doctors elected not to place the cerclage in at 13 weeks. I have been trying to be very good about not doing any heavy lifting and stay off my feet. Would love to hear your experience and insight.

Congrats on your pregnancy. I have not used progesterone to prevent premature delivery, but I have heard about several people who have used it successfully (I believe they were on injections). I did have a miscarriage in January and got pregnant again 3 months later. I was put on progesterone this time and am now almost 26 weeks pregnant. I really believe the progesterone helped this one stick! Good luck keeping this one in there until term.
HI G.!
Yes, I used progesterone for all three of my pregnancices - after having miscarried my first (and learning of a progeseterone problem that caused it). I took natural progesterone capsules (200mg) a day (took at night since they made me a little sleepy). They have to be from a compounding pharmacy. I only took them through week 13-14 (until prgesterone was high enough and placenta could take over). Perect pregnancies/deliveries with all three!
Best of luck!
