Does anyone know anything about this?

Do you use it? If so, why? What does it do for you?

Do you need a prescription for it?

Thanks for your input!

What can I do next?

I use bio-identical progesterone cream and I need a prescription to get it. I had a hysterectomy and use it along with bio-identical estrogen and testosterone cream as part of my HRT.
One of the reasons I like it is because it helps me sleep better.
If you think you need it, I would talk to a doctor who deals with bio-identical HRT. You do not need to be menopausal to need HRT.
If you have a questions, please let me know.

I take a pill for progesterone. I take bio-identical hormone replacement for thyroid and progesterone. I chose to get all my hormone levels tested. Progesterone cream can be bought at a health food store. Progesterone does many things. My body does not produce progesterone and I am not in menopause. Having children is probably the biggest reason that our hormones fluctuate. I love my progesterone because I sleep better and I do not have hot flashes or mood swings. Progesterone takes many of the PMS symptoms down to a level where they are not even noticeable. I originally started with the progesterone because I was bleeding a lot.

Hi,

I use it and yes, it needs to be prescribed. You can get so-called progesterone creams OTC but I was told by my doctor that these creams contain barely any progesterone. I've had 3 miscarriages and if I'm not on the pill I have constant spotting. So, I've been diagnosed with a luteal phase deficiency and therefore have been prescribed progesterone. So far so good but we have not started TTC just yet. Low progesterone as well as other hormone deficiencies can cause a host of problems that most people brush off as normal. I suggest everyone get their hormones checked. I'm also on testosterone.

You can buy it without a prescription - but I would NOT self-medicate with "hormones" - get your hormones checked by your doctor.

I am in "peri-menopause" and my hormones were totally out of whack - I take a "bio-identical" progesterone - it comes in pill or cream - I chose the pill form.

It helped my hot flashes, mood swings, helps me sleep better... I no longer have periods b/c I had an endometrial ablation - but it would have helped my excessive bleeding.

I have used the cream form, that is recommended as the best way to take it. I have PCOS and I took it for awhile. I am looking into taking it again in the near future. I don't really have any problems sleeping as long as I am active. I have seen it in some of the bigger chainstores like Wegmans and different healthfood stores. I used to use the one made by Arbonne
