Preschool Teacher Gift

I give the teacher a gift card to Beckers teacher supply store (she has to pay to decorate the room, so I thought this would help) and I've given the helper a gift card to wawa or a generic one to the mall in the area.

Cash or gift card are best...with a nice card that your son made ot signed his name in with a nice note from you.

I worked in a daycare for almost 10 years and taught preschool for 4...

My son & I actually made a gift for his preschool teachers, a sun catcher. It was pretty simple & he was able to help with most of it. First you want to pick some flowers (no stems) and press them (you do not want to dry them, just press). Take wax paper & cut out 2 circles of the same size & glue the flowers between the 2 pieces (spray glues works best) we also included glitter in with the flowers too. Press the sheets together until the glue dries & then you can take a piece of any color construction paper & cut it into a larger circle to trim the edge of the wax paper (one for each side. Once this glue dries you can decorate the construction paper if you want. Then you punch a hole it it & put a string or a ribbon through so it can be hung. It is something nice they can either use to decorate their room or to take home whichever they choose and most of the items you might already have, so it can be rather inexpensive. IMO, as a former preschool teacher in a well to do neighborhood, I was showered with gift cards,homebaked goods, body lotions, soaps, children's books, holiday decor, flowers, stationary, rubberstamps and scrapbooking supplies for my hobby etc. My absolute favorite of all gift was a small scrap book decorated with a teacher theme, that i could put picts of the children in that years class.

My children have attended 3 other preschools and hardly ANY parents do anything to show appreciation for all the hard work and care the teachers give.
My personal preference is to make small handmade gifts with my kids as tokens of appreciation.
Craft stores sell aprons you can decorate with fabric markers
I like to have the kids draw a picture then i dicate a caption and frame it in either a nice wooden frame or an acryclic refridgerator frame decorated with stickers
This year, we painted handprints on a flower pot and gave petunias for one teacher and for the other I made a decorated clipboard and attached a THank you Photo card I had made a Walgreens.
I don't think you have to spend much money, but the time and effort to thank someone for having a major impact on shaping your young child, well lets just say I think it's an important thing to do.

Hey! I just posted this question last week. I ended up buying some nice chocolates (individually wrapped), some blank cards (so they can use as thank yous or notes in the future. I have received a few from them throughout the school year.) and then a gift card. I put the gift card and cards in a small giftbag and then put the chocolates loosely in there as well. Then wrote a special note.

For Christmas I gave the teachers three cooked, frozen meals. They all said it was the best gift they ever got. I made chicken piccata, pasta pomodoro, and swedish meatballs. I cooked the sauce but left the noodles uncooked for the pasta, browned the meatballs and cooked the sauce for the meatballs, and cooked the sauce but left the chiken frozen. The teachers then prepped the meal at home. They got a homecooked fresh meal.

For end of school, we did decorated pots with planting soil and herb seeds. Once again, the teachers loved them. They got fresh herbs all summer long.

Gift cards for groceries, gasoline, an eatery, or a coffee place will most certainly be appreciated and will not go to waste!

I was a preschool teacher for many years. I always appreciated stickers or a small gift card from a teacher supply store. Often times teachers spend their own money on these extras.

I put together for my sons preschool teachers a gift bag with a box of different flavored tea bags, a ice cube tray from ikea that is in the shape of flowers and 2 tall glasses. I also put in a small bottle of hand lotion.

He just got a thank you note from her and she really enjoyed it since its summer and she is sitting relaxing enjoying a fruity iced tea and relaxing.

I usually give a gift card to Brueggers or Subway so that they can treat themselves to lunch.
