I think maybe one flower each with a note or i love it when i get otions from my kids, but thats just me...
Hi There!
My son will be finishing up his first year of pre-school in a couple of weeks and I wanted to get his teachers an end of year thank-you gift. All his teachers have been truly wonderful and I want to show them how appreciative I am. My son has some special needs and he has truly blossomed in school I think mostly thanks to his teachers. So, my son has the main teacher, then the special education teacher, speech therapy teacher and occupational therapy teacher and the special education assistant. I wouldnt mind making something but I am really not very crafty. What do you teachers like receiving as thank you gifts from students and their families?

I think a little homemade gift from your son (like a frame or something simple) along with a small gift card would be awesome :)
because you said he blossomed i thought of a hanging basket or a pot of flowers lilke impatiens.
The Butterfly theme of guiding him as he matures would be so meaningful too. you could find windchimes with a butterfly on it, or stationary with a butterfly theme. it would be your note of appreciation that goes with whatever you get that really makes it meaningfull. Gosh i am tearing up already and he isn't even my student.
Honestly a plant or gift card would be wonderful. I suggest that if any of these staff members work together full time with your child (for example: the teacher and assistant) that you do not consider giving gifts of different denominations. When folks work side by side as a team, they often appreciate being treated as a team. I know I did.
im a prek teaching assistant so both teacher and i receive gifts from our students and i have to say the gift cards are probably the best thing. places like target or barnes and noble or mardel are really appreciated. we also love flowers. good luck and you cant go wrong no matter what the denomination of card you get. thanks
As a former teacher, I know that teachers love gift cards but you have a lot of people on your list. Give a card with a hand written note about how appreciative you are along with a card made by your son and attach his picture to it. You could even give each teacher a plant/perennial if you wanted, just a thought.
I'm not a teacher but I read once (on here I think!) that a teacher said she loved getting notes from the students or their parents re: how their teaching was of such benefit to their child. She said that she kept them for years and would read them every now and then.
Maybe you could send one of those 'edible arrangement' bouques (you know, the kind made up of fruits and chocolates...) for them all to share, along with thank-you cards made out to the individuals.
As a preschool teacher...it is always appreciated when we receive gift cards. We don't make alot of $$..and in this economy anything is appreciated. A gift card to a favorite store...or Target is a place where we can get anything from groceries..to makeup!!...
