I sent my children to Kiwi Preschool. This was about 11 years ago. They had a classroom environment for different age groups and a little graduation at the end of the year. They also had a commercial kitchen and hired a cook to make warm meals for the kids, which I loved.

I have a friend who runs the preschool at Redwood Adventist Academy. I believe the ages are 2-5. It has a small enrollment right now- maybe 6 kids. It is a Christian school-not sure how you feel about that- but my friend is a good teacher and would treat your child well. The school is off Mark Springs West Rd. in Santa Rosa. Phone number ###-###-####. Good luck with your search.

Hi there,

I recommend a Montessori school if you are looking for a stuctured environment. I was a Montessori teacher for a few years and LOVED it. I could talk endlessly about what a Montessori school is...i know there is M school in Santa Rosa. email me if you want more info and also there is tons out there. look up "maria montessori" for how it all began :) good luck!

hi K.,
I recently have been researching preschools for my 2 year old son.... my advice is you are going to have to narrow a few down and then tour the facility and talk to the teachers, etc. It really is the feeling you get when you walk into the preschool if it is the right fit for your child. We really liked Brush Creek Montessori in Santa Rosa, (they give tours every 2nd Wednesday of the month), but if you want a really structured environment, a Montessori school might not be the best for your child. Some preschools also have a waiting list. We also really liked Mt. Taylor on Slater Street in Santa Rosa, they spent a good 45 minutes with us talking about the school and our needs, etc. Many of the preschools have websites that give some good information and I also read many parent reviews on preschools in SR from yahoo.
Good luck!

There is a great new school opening up (I am the assistant director) off of Santa Rosa Ave, towards Todd Ave. Their website is cjchildcare.com
for more information.
