I am about 26 weeks pregnant. The whole time I have had some discharge. It has turned to a light brown color. I have been checked for the stds and just routine stuff when I first found out I was pregnant. My husband and I have only had sex once since I been pregnant so I know its nothing to do with sex or anything like that. It has a strong ammonia like odor. I don't feel like this is normal. What could be causing this? I go to the dr. next week but I kinda want a heads up before I get there. Should I be worried? I have had it the whole pregnancy it is just getting to be more of it. I wear thick pads because of it. I have not had any bleeding or cramping.

What can I do next?

the brown could be light spotting of old blood. Have you talked with your doctor about it? Higher discharge is normal, but anything requiring thick pads is not.

Well I can't believe your doctor never asked you about it at your visits. I am 14 weeks with my fourth and each pregnancy my doc has asked me at every visit if I had a discharge. If he did ask , did you tell him? I don't think you should have to wear a thick pad,nor should it smell. I had to wear a panty liner with my third one but no pad. Maybe call your doctor today.

It sounds like you could have a mild infection. I would call your doctor and get an appt to be seen just in case you need to get on some antibiotics or anything. Good luck!

Normal for the most part. I did that w/ all 3 pregnancies. Your body is going through a lot of changes. Don't worry but tell your Dr anyway.
