most Dollar Stores have red/white/blue balloon weights. In fact, my sis just used these for her son's party this past wkend.....he's leaving for the Navy! They were metallic foil with sprays of stars, etc....very festive & totally inexpensive!
I'm part of a committee for my daughter's Pre-K graduation and I'm trying to find inexpensive Centerpieces to go on the tables at graduation. Any ideas?

How about decorated cans with crayons, markers, etc? Have paper tablecloths and you keep everyone happy and siblings busy during the ceremony. I also like the idea for flowers for the Grandmas.
you might be able to get some ideas if you go to your local crafts store (like joann's fabrics & crafts) or a 99cent type store.
Purchase an age-appropriate educational toy from www.toysofdiscovery.com and make the toy be the centerpiece. Our toys are really colorful and fun and make darling centerpieces. You could add a balloon, also.
You could raffle the toys off, or have a drawing with all the families' names entered, or you could even donate the toys to the school.
Contact me and I'll help you rush the order. I'm guessing time is running out.
Have the kids make them. They can get some sort of bucket / can / container and use sod or plant grass seeds. The new bright green soft grass looks so nice. Then you could put a ribbon around it in green or white organza.
Dollar store vases with cheap flowers, like daffodils from someone's yard.
The oldest adult at the table gets to take them home - esp nice for "Grandmas" that might be attending.
betting you have a non existant budget for this right? I would go to somewhere that has pretty plants (home depot, lowes, menards, kmart, walmart etc. Buy some pretty flowering plants (you can get these pretty cheap right now) and put them in baskets which you can find at the goodwill store cheap. we got bright napkins and opened them up into a big square put them on the table, put the basket in the middle with the flowers and its nice. you can see over them. we raffled them off as door prizes at the end.
They have graduation for pre-k kids??? Seems a bit over board if you ask me. How about stuffed animals for the centerpieces?
You don't mention if there are certain graduation colors already determined.
For my HS grad, our theme was Dr. Seuss 'Oh the Places You'll Go!'. That would be appropriate for pre-K. You could get color copies of some pages and frame them for the center of the table.
For simple, you could piles of building blocks, bunch of nice flowers, or a bunch of balloons.
