Prayer Request :) - Abbyville,KS

This weekend I spent some time filling out my FAFSA for this year and submitting applications for nursing schools (none that aren't appropriately accredited), and today I filled out all of the transcript request forms and got all of the money orders made out for those and for application fees. I just got home from sending everything out, and I would just like to asks for prayers and positive thoughts that I get accepted to a good school, that doesn't have a long waiting list or any other major hurdles. I have the feeling that this is what God wants me to be doing, and it feels like the right choice for me and my daughter. I just hope I'm not miscalculating because I spent a good amount of money on this process already and my hopes are high. I would be absolutely crushed if something good doesn't come through for me with one of these schools. I'm going back to what my passion is, which is to work in health care. I feel that the RN job is much better suited for me personally than the business path I'm on now. I also feel better about knowing what my plan is going to be after graduation, rather than having no clue what I will end up doing with my degree and how much money or job satisfaction will come along with it. A nursing salary would also set me up nicely to become independent of the toxic people that I'm currently dependent on, and allow me to set the example for my daughter that I have only dreamed of until this point.

So please, say a little prayer for me, and I will keep you all updated on what happens!

Thank you so much, ladies. You have no idea how much you have helped me to make sense of my life and how much confidence you have all give me to just "go for it", and make the wisest choices for myself and my child. I wish I could give you all big hugs. You are making a huge difference in my life, and in my child's life. Without the constant pushes from you all to get into therapy, I don't know when I actually would have gotten into it, if at all. Therapy has been great, and is making me feel like I have so much more control over myself and my destiny. I no longer feel hopeless, or like giving up and settling for a toxic life with toxic people. I feel like I'm starting to sound like a commercial, so I'm going to stop, but I want you to know from the bottom of my heart, that I appreciate you all so much.

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies, so much!!! I will take all the prayers and advice I can get at this point :p
I'm nervous about switching at this point in the game, but it feels completely right.
I will keep you all updated. I can hardly wait for the schools to have my transcripts so that I can get a specific plan together.

SJ, I will pray for you to have success in your endeavor. I hope it works out easily for you. Still, even if it doesn't fall completely in line the first time, you are no longer going to give up easily. I can hear a strength in your writing that will not let you go back. You are growing up. Your therapist must be a good one. Very few things go completely smoothly. Sometimes i think it's just to test how very much you really want it. I think this time you really want it. When you keep pushing even through the tough parts, you have succeeded. I expect that of you! May God draw you close and give you strength.

You got it! I'm glad to see you figuring all this stuff out. Doing it "right" from the start is half the battle. If you just do things in chunks, it won't overwhelm you as you get through the process!
