Toilet Training In Less Than A Day--check it out. I'm planning on using this technique for my little girl in a few months when she is completely ready.
My 22 month old son is showing interest in using the toilet. What are some good books you have read about potty training your children? Thank you!

Hi C.,
Not sure about books for you to read but my daughter LOVED a book called, "The Potty Train" By David Hochman & Ruth Kennison http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2963614
Take it slowly and remember that interest does not equal readiness. I found a great story kit from my local library for potty training, they had one for a boy and one for a girl. It was a file box with several books for children about potty training, a couple of DVD's and some fun games. It was great for getting my daughter excited abdout potty training. Ask at your library if they have something similar, or just check out the books and DVD's separatly.
My son loved the video - "Potty Time with Bear". It comes with a book as well, or you can get the book with the same characters. It really helped him get the whole concept down when he was 3.
I hope this helps.

Pottywise! All the way! Follow to a T and it works wonders! My daughter was so impressed with how her favorite stuffed animal went p p on the potty that she wanted to do it. There are great step by step instructions
It's not exactly what you're asking, but I bought a book for my daughter - Potty Training for Girls. It was a story that we read for several days and talked about the little girl in the book going potty. One day, my daughter decided to potty on the toilet.
Good luck!
Once Upon a Potty comes in both boy and girl versions, and from what I understand there is also audio/video available, though we just used the book. It was very helpful. It is widely available at libraries, too, so you can use it for free!
We also found the Bear in the Big Blue House Potty Time video to be helpful.
For my son, by far the most useful training aid was a boy baby doll made by Corolle. He is anatomically correct (uncircumcised, like my son) and drinks and wets. He comes with a diaper, big boy underpants, a bottle, and a potty. Cute and useful! My son used to take "Baby Paul" with him to the potty, and even now, 2 years later, Paul is one of his cherished toys. The doll and accessories run about $35, but for us it was very much worth the money.
Good luck with the potty training adventure!
