You know what they say that boys are always slower than girls anyway so don't worry... My sons doctor told me to put his poop in the toilet if solid take your son with you and show that poop goes in the toilet and and then flush the toilet... It helped with me a little and also try some type of reward thing like a sticker or hugs or something they work...
Good luck with the nursing that is major too.its soo competitive now.. Just curious are you in the program yet?

If he will sit on the potty at all, put him on it as often as possible. I find it especially helpful to put mine on when the tub is filling up. The sound of the water make him go. I have two year old I am potty training and have trained two old children. If you want you can email me privately and we can continue to provide each other with advice. Good Luck.

Hi J.,

I have now a 3 year old started going to the bathroom at 1 1/2. When he wouldn't go potty. I would bring his little potty to the family room and have him sit on it while he watched Dora. He loved Dora and if he wanted to see her, he had to go potty. That worked everytime. When he would go I would make the biggest deal. I mean call me overdramatic. lol
Another thing. I think you should encourage him, buy him those underwears with his favorite characters and stick to it. Don't change your mind later and put him back on diapers. Let him wear pull ups while he is outside, but underwear always at home. Hope this works. Did for me. Goodluck.

Ahhhhh..I remember those days! Frustrating!! My son did the exact same thing a handful of times. He was going pee in the toilet and really liked getting praised for it..for some reason he started taking his diaper off either before he pooped and sometimes, right after. It was soo gross! The only think I could think was that he didnt like the way it felt in his diaper which made me press him a bit more to go on the toilet..It happened virtually overnight. Sounds like yours is very similar to mine. Hes 4 years old now and had been out of diapers since a few months after his 2nd b-day.
