HI C. boys are a little more difficult to potty train but make it fun for him. Reward and praise him. Let him go shopping with you and pick out big boy underwear that he likes. Put cheerios in the toilet and have him try to hit them. Just some ideas the cheerios are really fun the boys (i have 2 and a stepson and two daughters) my boys loved this game and they were all potty trained day and night by 2. I put big underwear on them and never switched back. I let them have their last drink about an hour before bedtime then i had them go potty right before bedtime. Honestly i had very few accidents. just let him know hes doing a great job kids thrive on praise as im sure you already know. Steph

Hi C.
Put him on every 45 min. And also every time that you go to let him know that that is what he is suppose to do.Give him a little treat when he does go.And make sure that you praise him.

Put him on the potty and let him play with a toy, that will keep his attention while he goes. I also heard about putting their feet in warm water.

C.,
I have 2 boys myself. One thing the dr said to me is boys are harder to train, and when they are ready they will tell you. With my oldest he was 3 1/2 when we completed. We would make him go to the bathroom with his dad and pop-pop, after a bit he wanted to try, so then we would let him run around without a diaper during the day, except nap time, and after he peed on himself a few times he realized he needed to tell us he had to go, as far as night time training it was like he was a newborn all over again, at first we got up about 3-4 times in the middle of the night, when we first put him in underwear around the clock, to get him to go potty, in just a few weeks he caught on and has been going ever since by himself. I hope this helps, good luck and if you need to talk more let me know @ ____@____.com

I know how you feel my son will be 3 in July and I am starting to potty train him.. I take him to the bathroom about every 10 to 15 minutes or if I see him hiding in the corner. Thats when I know he is doing something. I try to play a game with him, who can hear the pee pee first. Boys are harder then girls to train but once they pick up on it they seem to do good. Both my older boys we completely trained my there 3rd birthday. This is what I'm hoping will happen with my youngest son.

What I did was left my dd run around the houe without anything on. That way when she had to go she could wuick sit on the potty. I mnow it sounds weird but it worked. I did not use pullups of any sort becuase they were too much like a diaper to her and she would go in them. I saw on the Veiw that Rosie trained her son by thowing cherrios in the toilet ( not a lot just a few ) and left him aim into the cheerios. LOL.. I started my dd at ages 2 1/2 and by her 3rd Birthday she had be totally potty trained for about 3 months. I have also heard though that boys are harder. Also have a potty party. Everytime he goes make a big deal. We use to do the Potty dance and sing Pee Pee on the potty. Which she loved. Also there are bunch of Kids books out that you buy for him about going potty. we even have one that makes a toilet flushing sound. It is work and does take a lot on your part especially when you are out in public. But just remember to be patient. Good Luck !
