My friend's son was like that. Same age.
One day he just did it.
All on his own.
With no pressure.
Or, leave him naked on the bottom at home.
My son is 3 1/2 and still not wanting to use the potty during the day at home. He wakes up dry from naps and in the mornings. He also has no problem using the bathroom at school. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to get him to use the potty at home.

My grandson had a hard time pulling himself away from play for a few months after being fully trained. So every 40 - 60 minutes, or whenever he started doing "the dance," I would run into the bathroom and start noisily wrestling all the dinosaurs out. Grandboy could not resist such a fun game, and would come in to help me and proudly claim his spot on the toilet.
After awhile, he just got it that he'd be more comfortable and have more fun playing if he just took two minutes to take a pee.
I was recently talking to a mom who pinned a big poster of Spiderman over the toilet, and explained how Spiderman was super-fast at going potty, and would be very proud of her son for doing the same. It seems to be working. Does your son have a favorite superhero or other character?
I do hear boys are harder. I have a daughter, I was asking for advice all the time and worrying all about it, literally one day she decided on her own to just go from pull ups to underwear and never looked back. She was 3 when she was finally ready. Every child is different so in this situation we can't compare our kids. My daughter who now will be four in May has accidents sometimes and honestly it is laziness on her part. She is afraid she is going to miss something and won't stop playing, this only happens at home not in school. My husband told her if she starts doing this she will need to wear diapers again and then she won't be able to go back to preschool since you have to be potty trained. She is getting better though, I just sometimes have to stop and remind her to go potty. Your son will wake up one day and just start using the toliet at home. Another things you could try is maybe let him pick out a potty???? maybe you have already. The best of luck. Stop worrying though, this won't last.
