ok mamas! I want to slowly start potty training my son. I was thinking of getting him the little toilet seats that go over a normal toilet, any recommendations on good potty training toilet seats? :)

What can I do next?

the baby bjorn toilet trainer. it's all one piece so the little cup that catches boys' pee doesn't pinch him on accident (i heard that happens a lot!) plus it's SO sturdy. we had bought a cheaper one before and it moved all the time. definitely the best potty seat!

Bjorn makes a great seat - and it fits virtually all toilets including the oval bowl ones.

Get one with handles. That seemed to make DD feel more confident. We also have the little bjorn potty (that she likes to use herself and we also take it on long car trips).

Friend had the "kid seat in the lid" for their toilet and that was pretty cool. If we didn't already have our insert, we'd get one.

The best one we have is actually a regular toilet seat that has a kids potty seat built right into the lid! Love it. We needed to replace one of our seats anyway and my hubby found this at home depot and it works great!
The issue I have with all the removable kids potty seats I have tried is that for boys they have a stupid "pee shield" or something included on the front and it does not help at all but it gets in the way and makes it harder for him to fit on the little potty seat. So if you go that route I would try to find a seat that does not have one of those little shield things on the front. They need to learn to point their pee pee downwards while on the potty anways :0)
