i also have a almost 3 year old daughter(turns 3 in january). try giving your daughter incentives for when she does pee in the toilet and tell her that if she does poop in the toilet, you will give her something bigger or better. congrats on the short period of time potty training her. it took my daughter about two months to potty train but she started doing pee on herself but poop in her toilet. now she does both in the "grown-ups" toilet but sometimes during naps she pees and during nighttime she also pees. give her time, she is doing pretty good considering her age and the quickness of her learning. my nephew are 4 and 8 months older than my daughter and they still have not been pottytrained. my sisters in law try but they refuse to use the toilet so consider ourselves lucky.

I just went through this with my 4 year old daughter.....I sat her down and explained to her that everyone pees and poops in the potty....then I told her that Huggies sent me an email....(I showed her the website, lol)and they couldn't make the pull-ups in her size anymore.....they didn't have enough for the littler kids. Then I bought Good Nights. Made by the same company, and pull up coupons work on them too ;). My daughter eventually got it all on her own......and i think that is what it boils down to she will do it when she is ready.....Good Luck...K.

Potty learning is different for different kids. She is only 2.5 and may not yet be ready for pooping on the potty. And probably isn't ready to stay dry all night. (My daughter is 3.5 and she is sometimes wet in the morning when she wakes up). You also can't expect all 2.5 year olds to consitantly tell you that they have to go. Try watching your daughter for cues when she goes poop (ie maybe she scrunches her nose or maybe she stops playing and stands very still..). Then when you see her giving you a cue...take her to the bathroom and put her on the potty. If she is developing normally in other areas, you can rest assured that she will eventually learn to use the potty. Also I would urge you not to punish or scold her when she poops in her pants. Learning to use the potty is difficult and is a big step in their development. You also shouldn't over load on the praise and incentives...let her own the experience and understand that pottying is a normal part of growing up. Saying stuff like "Hey! You did it!" and being excited for her is ok, I think, but jumping up and down and clapping your hands and saying over and over again "Your such a good girl! I can't believe you went on the potty! What a good girl. I'm so proud of you!" will over shadow her own experience of the success. She knows that you want her to do it and will feel proud of herself. Just let her know that you are happy for her.

You've only been potty training for a month or so. The fact that she is peeing on the potty pretty consistantly during the day is a great accomplishment! She's doing great. Give her more time. Take a deep breath. She'll get there.

Does your daughter listen to certain kiddie music? Put on a cd whenever she goes to the bathroom, so she can relax. You know, people only do a #2 where they're comfortable.

And as far as at night bed wetting, you should be getting up during the night to take her to the bathroom, so she doesn't wet herself, regardless of the pull-up.
