I have three boys and always used regular underwear with a pull-up over the top. That way they felt the wetness, but I didn't need to clean the mess. Just a thought!
I'm helping to raise my grandson who just turned two in early May. I've been looking for those xx-thick training underwear like I used when my kids were little. Can anyone help me?

We tried to find them at a Walmart store and ended up at Target. Unless you want to buy online, I know Walmart had them online.
I found them at Walmart and Target. I think they come in a pack of three. They also sell the plastic pants to go over them.
JC Penny's should have them or you can purchase them from this website; http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/Potty-Training-Pants...
I found some at sears and wal mart.
Target has some i think toysrus but they are not as thick as they use to be! Other wise i would try shopping for them online!
Best of luck wiht the potty trainning!
They're not always easy to find at Target or Wal-Mart I think they sell out because they're hard to find LOL. I usually have the best luck at JC Penney and they seem to fit my 2 1/2 year old (27 lbs) the best. They're by the undershirts/onesies and socks which may be in the baby section vs. the toddler section. The brand is Wee-Essentials. I've purchased them at both of my local JC Penney stores. If you're looking for the vinyl pants to go over them as well I usually don't have a problem finding the Gerber brand at Wal-Mart they're by the layette stuff. Good Luck ;-)
I bought them at our Wal-Mart last year for my son. They still kinda leak through, so I also bought plastic pants (at WM). My son didn't love those so much. So, I ended up using Pull-ups anyway. Just gotta figure out what works with that one! Blessings on the journey - it can be fun if you don't let the potty-training get to you (which I'm sure you already know from your first go-round!!!).
Blessings, S.
My mother bought some for me while I was potty training my daughter and lived in London. I believe the only place she could find them was at JC Penney's. Good luck with your grandson.
I bought our daughters at babiesrus, but they don't come in white just pink or blue which makes them hard to bleach. You can buy color safe bleach and it works pretty good.
They have Gerber training underwear at Target and Wal-Mart.
The brand at JC Penny's is called Wee Essentials, it is much much better than the Gerber.
Gerber makes some you can get them at walmart. They are usually with the other underwear>Good luck and God Bless you for raising you grandson.
I got mine at Walmart with the bibs and onsie packs.
I got my son's at Walmart. They sell them at Babies R Us, too.
You might try a cloth diaper store like Bree's Bums in Plano or on the internet. They are called "trainers" when buing from a CD company. Good Luck!
I found some at Babies R Us.
Hi D., it is a blessing to have grandchildren, I have 7 of the little angels. We found the thicker training pants at Pennies & Target has some that are almost as thick as the 5 ply we used a few years ago. Hope you find them.
God Bless You & Yours
At Target and Wal-mart they are in the baby department next to the socks and underwear. Sometimes they are there and sometimes not. Gerber makes them - check out their website if you can't find them in the store.
I'm in the same boat. I think my mother in law found some at babies r us. It was just a pack of 3, but at least it's a start. You might also think about looking online, and ordering them that way.
Ditto Walmart - that is the only place I was ever able to locate the Gerber thick ones and only once or twice - I ended up ordering some off the internet.
Good Luck!
Those are very hard to find. I have a few pair i picked up from a resale store but i did find a new kind thru 'one step ahead' a catalog (online as well) and they work really well.
I have seen them at JC Penneys.
Target sells the Gerber extra thick potty pants. They come in packs of 3 if memory serves me. They are relatively inexpensive. Have fun with potty training! I just recently started with my youngest!
Hi D.
I'd also recommend JC Penney for the Wee Essentials Padded Training Pants. They come in a 2-pack for $7.99, but Penney's often has a buy one, get one type sale - which is a pretty good deal. I found them on the racks with the packs of socks and underwear. They have colors and all white packs. I bought some for my daughter about two months ago, so they should still carry them.
I found them at wal-mart, down low below the onesies etc, close to the "baby" socks t shirts etc. They are almost hidden, I guess they preer you buy pull-ups.
The only place I've found them at is target, but then it's hit or miss, so I usually get them from amazon.com or target.com.
Good luck!
We have Train-ese training pants at Green Baby Diaper Service. They are the thick cotton training pants with a waterproof layer sewn in the middle.

Wal-mart. But they are'nt as thick as they should be but thats all your going to find. If they are out when you go to look they WILL get them in. Maybe, also, target.

When I was looking recently I only found them at garage sales and resale stores, but there were plenty in good condition to be had. I'm sure there is someone online selling them also, probably on a cloth diaper site.
i have only seen them at Babies-r-us. Good luck.
J C Penny's. That is the ONLY place that I could find them locally. I would give a call to make sure they still carry them before driving out there. You might also check the larger department stores like Sears, Dillard's and Macy's too. And of course you could find them on line. Most of the internet stores that carry cloth diapers and supplies carry great training pants too.
Just as the other reply stated Walmart trainers are NOT good at all. Too thin and not very comfortable.
Hope this helps,
C.
