Would your child think it is fun to leave school on a Friday, drive to a pottery studio, eat a snack, and then paint something? Would you invite boys too? They have wall hangings you can draw then paint a scene on that have predrilled holes as well as figurines and photo frames. She wants to invite the entire class plus 2 friends(one will only know her).
Bowling is an option. The other alternative is a skating/lazer tag/mini golf/go cart party, but they have up to 12 parties going at once there and the kids are running all over. I have a feeling some of the boys would get very rowdy. They only open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and that might mean half the kids can't come because of sports.
Let your child make the choice. It will be more memorable that way, and yes, include boys if your child wants them...girls can be rowdy, too ; ) There's never going to be a perfect time for all invited to come, Friday after school or that night would rule it out for us.
What does your child want to do? 10 years old is old enough to help make the choice and deal with the consequences. People attending not attending. Some kids being bored or not wanting to participate is always going to be a worry.
It all sounds like fun.
I vote bowling if it is the whole class and boys. It is confind and not all over the place like the others.......... We love bowling parties. If it was just girls, pottery is great. We did this one year. Skating is hard when not everyone can do it....but maybe that is one way to learn how.....more parents stay for that......
But yes, your daughter should decide.
