where do you live?

try going to either meetup.com or yahoo groups and search for playgroups in your city, you might be able to find something that way, when i moved last summer i used yahoo and found a mom who had a small yahoo group and now they are my best friends.

My name is K., I'm 28 and have an 8 month old daughter named Claudia. I would love to schedule a playdate! The only people with children that I associate with are the ones at my daughter's daycare. AND, I don't ever see them outside of the daycare. I have been wanting to get out of the house but none of my friends have kids and I can tell they get a little annoyed when I have to spend so much time messing with Claudia. Where do you live? There is a group called Montgomery Moms Gone Wild on yahoo groups. I haven't participated in any activities yet but they are all really nice when we email. They have moms night's out occasionally. See if that helps.

Where are you located at? I belong to the Murfreesboro Mom's Group. I found it on meetup.com and it is awesome. We have tons of playdates planned throughout the month and there are kids all different ages. If I didnt join this group when my daughter was about 6 months old I would have gone crazy. They also have mom's groups on meetup in Smyrna and Nashville. !

Im having the same trouble! I am also new to the area and know no one! Id love to get together. My daughter will be nine months on April 5th. We live in Rockvale which is right outside Murfreesboro.

Hey there! I'm new to Mamasource and wanted to let you know that I run a playgroup out of Murfreesboro.

that has our calendar of events on it (I am updating the April calendar tonight).

We have a ton of great moms in the group. We meet every Friday at around 10am for different activities. We also have Mom's Night Out once a month that is a lot of fun Get's us out of the house.

My children aren't your child's age, but I just wanted to let you know that I've had some luck finding playgroups through organizations or other friends in the past.

I have a two-year-old son and a 3-month-old daughter (named Chloe!), and my son has been in a few playgroups that we've found through other friends, online, or through organized groups (we just joined MOMS Club and LOVE it!). MOMS Club has chapters throughout the country based on your zip code. You can look up information online about the group.

My son's playgroup with MOMS Club just began a few weeks ago and we really like it! They do it by birth year and it's a great way to get kids together to play that are similar ages, and a great way for the Moms to mingle with other Moms (with kids the same age)!
