Play Group or Mothers Group

Hi M., I am part of the Littleton Mamas in Motion Meetup group. You can search meetup.com for the group. They recently had a new organizer take over and are starting to get a few more playdates scheduled. So far they all seem to be very close to the SW Plaza Mall. You might also find another Meetup group a little closer to you. Some of the Meetup Groups are great, other are so-so, and some are quite frankly like a bunch of childish high school cliques, so it can be hit or miss.

I suggest MOPS (you can search www.mops.org for nearby groups) and www.meetup.com, too. I am in both. MOPS is nice because it gives you a break from the kids. It is a non-denominatinoal Christian based group. The kids go in daycare during the meetings (usually 2 hours every other week). There is a fee, but usually scholarships are available. There are quite a few meetup groups in the area - I belong to several (Mamas in Motion, Little Feet, and Mommy & Me). They all have meetups in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch area.

There are quite a few in your (our) area. There is a MOPS group at Foothills Bible Church every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Either at 9 -11:30am or 6 -8:30pm There is also a standing playdate at the Shed (the building just south of that church) on Wednesday mornings at from 9:00 - 11:30. Drop in and meet other moms while the kids play. All of this is open to anyone and everyone.

If you are looking for other options, there are Mom's Meet-up groups. Go to Meetup.com and there are mom Yahoo groups that meet.

I have a 3 1/2 yr old boy and a 6yr old girl. All the women at the these events are wonderful and love meeting others.
