I live in Naperville, near I-88 and Route 59. I am looking for a place to have my daughters 10 year birthday party. Hoping to keep it local. Any ideas??

What can I do next?

Right by you at Rt. 59 and New York St. is the Brunswick Zone which has bowling, laser tag and more. Great for kids that age, and they do B-Day parties.

I have a 10 year old daughter, and for the past 3 years, I chose to have a swimming party at a local hotel, with an indoor swimming pool. I usually have pizza delivered. The kids love it, and so do I. It is an easy party, with lots of fun for everyone.

Sur la Table downtown Naperville does great b-day parties, a little further is the Arboredum they do fun educational things. That's all I can come up with off the top of my head. Good luck.

My daughter just turned 8 - but some ideas that she had:

Roller Skating party - all of the kids loved that. There is a rink in Montgomery - Aurora Skate Center

Build a Bear Workshop (Fox Valley Mall)

Justice for Girls - clothing shop in Oswego...Justice is all the rage now, and they do parties...similar to a Libby Lu party.

Sleepover - that is what my daughter did this year. We ate pizza, had a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood (that was a blast!), then we opened gifts & had cake. I had little pedicures for all of the girls and gave them all nail polish, finger nail file, etc. in their treat bags. (found some cheap stuff at Wal Mart and Target). After the pedis, I had purchased flip flops from Old Navy and we made those flip flops that have the fabric tied to the straps - really easy for the girls to do, I just pre-cut the fabric, they got to chose a certain number of strips and then they just tied the strips onto the straps. We listened to High School Musical 2 music while they were doing that. As the night wound down, they watched HSM2 on TV and after that --- pillow fight, I also had a "are you a good friend" quiz that the girls took....then they watched more tv and then at midnight it was lights out. It was a blast!

Good luck.
