Pizza Recommendation and Question About Opening Gifts

We're having a party for my daughter's 3rd birthday at a pottery painting studio in Norwell MA, and we'll be ordering pizza. My husband and I tried the pizza place which the studio recommended, and we didn't like it at all -- it was Greek style, with the thick, crunchy crust, and we prefer thin, New York style pizza. We live a couple of towns away so we can't really use the place we usually order from at home (and that pizza's not so great, either!) Does anyone have any recommendations for good, thin-crust pizza in or near Norwell?

Second question, do kids open gifts at parties these days? At the only one we've been to recently, the kids did not open the gifts, but they were only turning one, plus there was a massive pile of them (we would have been there until the twins turned 2!). We're only having about 4-5 families, so it's not like there will be so many gifts that we wouldn't have time to open them at the party. I guess my main concern is that no matter how much coaching we do, my very opinionated daughter would actually say she didn't like something if she didn't like it!

I'd really value your opinions, as always! Thanks!

M.

I got a good price for pizza from Papa Gino's.
I sign up on there website and got a 20% discount for first time ordering. They were having a special where if you bought one Primo Pizza you can get up to five large cheese pizzas for $5 dollars each. I got 6 pizzas for less than $35. Let your daughter choose if she wants to open gifts during or after the party.

Hi M.,
Have you considered Norwell Pizzeria on Washington Street or perhaps Domino's in Rockland? We do not open the gifts at our children's parties for any number of reasons. Depending on where you're having the party, you may not have time; it's less chaotic to open the gifts at home; and you don't want to put anyone on the spot if they didn't have the opportunity to get a gift before the party. If you're planning to send thank you cards, it's easier to keep track of who gave what after the party is over. Have fun!

Papa Gino's in Hanover or Norwell will deliver to the pizza place, if you like the NY style then Blue Moon Pizza in Norwell Center they also deliver. Good Luck!

I don't know what's going on...is this a new trend where the kids don't open gifts at parties??? I've been to a few now where the kids don't open the gifts. I think it's really sad and rude to be honest. Obviously it's up to you but I think that we take our time and buy something for that child that we think they will really like, we want to be there to see there face light up in excitement. I think if we take the time to buy the gift, the child should take the time to open it. The kids at the parties want to see the gifts as well....this is such an exciting part of a birthday party!!
