Hi L.--Centennial Park off West End and 25th has a beautiful flower garden with a stone bridge. It is on the side of the park that is closer to Charlotte Pike. A lot of people reserve that space for weddings in the summer. --D.
I make it a point to take pictures of my kids every month. I would love to find a park (or parks) or someplace that is a great setting for each season (especially one with lots of spring foliage). Does anyone have any recommendations other than Cheekwood?

There is an apartment complex near cool springs called the Landings that has a great area near their entrance.
Also, Percy Warner Park is wonderful. The entrance off Belle Meade Blvd has many areas - you can sit on some steps or on a grassy area. We have had many portraits taken there.
I think Percy Warner Park, just off of hwy 100 is so gorgeous! The old stone walls and entry ways make for great pictures, or just the little ones running in the field. Also the creek is there, so depending how old yours are those are great pictures. Get them with rolled up blue jeans and bare foot!
Good luck!
Oh, and Centenial Park is good this time of year, in the flower garden!
I took pics of my son at Ellington Agricultural Center one year and the flowers, trees, ponds, and even a gazebo, were beautiful! It is located on Edmonson Pike closer to Brentwood. Also one year I took his pic at Opryland Hotel, that is really nice too! Inside and outside.

I find the zoo has many great backgrounds from the playground wood and tunnels, to the bamboo paths, to the open grassy fields....

Good Luck!
I've taken some nice pics at the Agricultural center, if you walk down the path there's even a pond and nice bridge and it's free.

I have taken plenty of pictures of my daughter at the "traveler's rest" and the Tennessee agricultural center. They are both in the Crieve Hall area south of Nashville and both have some great places for picture opportunities.
=)
The best parks for photos are Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tinkerbell Park in Franklin, Crockett Park in Brentwood, and Kid's Castle in Murfreesboro.
Historic homes and locations provide a great back drop for photos-the Hermitage, Traveler's Rest, Two River's Mansion, Fort Nashboro, Franklin's Carnton Plantation, and Murfreesboro's Oaklands Mansion. They are beautiful and the property is usually landscaped nicely.
