I've been researching photo studios in my area (Montgomery County) and came across a place called CL!X. (Yes, the exclamation point is used in place of the letter i.) They are located in Peddlers Village, Bucks County. Has anyone ever used them or heard anything about them? The web site says they print on site, but are the prints good quality? How are the photographers? How reasonable are the prices? Thanks in advance for any advice :)

What can I do next?

Becky,
I don't know anything about them, but I am a photographer located in Montgomery county. I do not have a studio, but travel to a location of your choice or your home. I do have a portable backdrop system if you are looking for indoor shots. You can view my work at www.susanfreudenberg.com The only advice I can give you about booking a photographer is that you make sure your children are comfortable in the setting you choose. Good luck with your decision.

I don't know if you are set on your decision to use a studio for your portraits, but I wanted to at least add one suggestion. Have you researched Caitlin Domanico photography? She is super talented! You actually get to choose a location (of your choice!) to have your photos done. She lives in Montgomery County, so it definitely wouldn't be too far from you. Her rates are very reasonable and she captures "daily living". Her photos aren't staged or posed, but I think it adds a great expression to the "here and now". Her website is www.caitlindomanico.com .

They do a fantastic job, are very affordable, creative w/poses & props, and it's awesome to get your prints immediately... just don't go overboard - it's so easy to get carried away and say 'yes' to every pose/every size print!
