We use Qwest for a home line and pay $23/month-just the basics, no Caller ID, voice mail...We use Net Zero for internet. You can choose dial-up or DSL. Only about $15/month for dial-up and we never have problems!
I was wondering if anyone could recomend a phone/internet service provider for my home land line that is cheep. I have Qwest and I am not happy with them, Comcast is about the same $, anything else out there? Thank you J.

I have comcast and have nothing but problems....
I constantly have technical problems and go a few days without service at times which is extremely irritating. Their customer service is horrible, I often am on hold forever. If you call about being without service it usually takes 3 different repair men to each come out and eventually they figure the problem.
I've had Qwest in the past too and hated them as well. Although I never had technical problems with them just the worst customer service on the earth.
It seem monopolized in Minnesota with who you can choose etc.
Good luck finding someone I'll have to check back and see what others say as I need to find a new service provider myself.
U.S. Family Net for internet? Cheaper, anyway.
Try www.lowermybills.com. I haven't used them in years, but when I did, I found a great cheap long distance carrier - Unitel.
We have Comcast and I've had no complaints. Other than the high cost it's really been satisfactory. Do you live in Minneapolis? The new wireless acces is going to be up and running this fall...maybe it's worth it to put up with something more expensive until that's ready?
