I need help with a speech too and was going to post too haha. It is a persuasion speech, 5-7 minutes. What would you try to persuade people of? Nothing controversial, something casual. I was thinking of nook vs book but I see the point for Nooks when your out and about, plus I don't have one so can't speak on a credible basis. Was going to do southern hospitality is the best business practice but can't find credible sources. *sigh* I'm stuck. So what would you persuade people of?

Go ahead and practise. I have no idea what a 'nook' is. We used to use the word 'nooky' for a pacifier Is that it? I am ready to listen.
I would say cloth diapering vs. disposable.
Look up "Helicopter Parenting" or "Overparenting". How much supervision is too much? Are we protecting our kids or harming them by not allowing them to fail?
I remember having this assignment in my college speech class. My topic was about adoption - particularly older children.
To recycle! And/or to buy more products made from recycled goods.
To NOT buy juice and shrimp and other foods from China.
To start composting.
To buy organic foods as much as possible.

What are some things you experienced as a parent that you thought would be different for you prior to parenting, how have your views changed and why. This is something you know and might be able to find more research on.
Is there something that you have been debating about within? Buy a new car, what type, what type of crib, stroller, etc. If motherhood is where you are living at these days, by all means draw on those strengths. You'll be much more convincing.
How about women earning less than men for doing the same jobs. Lots of info on that
Kale is better than spinach. Space travel will be possible within your lifetime. Coconut sugar is better for you than cane sugar.
