I have that problem myself.
Does anyone else's flow seem to differ from tampon change to tampon change. For example I will soak through a super tampon in 3-4 hours but then it seems like my flow is really light so I will put on a light tampon and it will last 8+ hours. I was just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks in advance!
I am 27 by the way. LOL I was talking to my boyfriend, more like bitching, about it and he said that it is pretty normal. He is a paramedic so knows enough about this stuff that I trust his opinion. He said it has something to do with the muscles being tight and then relaxing for awhile and that makes the flow heavier for awhile until it gets back to normal. Thanks for all the responses I got and I hope this helps the few of you that have the same problem.
I have that problem myself.
Whenever my flow gets light, I usually just switch over to pads until it's done, and then pantyliners for a few days after. Watch how long you keep your tampons in, due to TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome).
You didnt mention your age, but this happened to me a few month back and was concerned. I would sometimes bleed thru a reg tampon w/ in 30min and was even afaird to leave the house. After this happening a couple times in a matter of a few months I contacted my Dr. She did a test to make sure all was ok and it came back good. The only explanation she had was.. that happens sometimes when women get older. I thought "LOVELY".. not only do I have to look forward to getting older I have to deal w/ heavy cycles!!! ... wonderful!!
Right now Im .. shhh..42 and am now 17 weeks pregnant! Yeah! Oh by the way we were wanting to get preg. I have misscarred twice and will not truly be comfortable til the baby is here and everything is fine w/ the baby.
Best of luck.
When I had peroids they would do the same, I think that it is normal to have changes.
I seriously try not to use tampons. I think there is something in them that makes me bleed longer.
