Hi T.,
Once you get a second opinion and rule out something medical, look into Maya Abdominal Massage. It can be very helpful for situations such as this. Here is their website www.arvigomassage.com
Hope this helps.
My daughter is 5 months old and I am still experiencing pelvic pain. I did crown with her and then I had a c-section. The pain is so bad it feels like my uterus is going to fall out. It hurts to walk and to clean around the house. Doctors don't seem to know what the problem is but I am hurting all the time. I can't even walk around the mall without hurting. Has anyone else experience this type of pain and what did you do?
Thank you very much to everyone that responded to my request!! You all were very helpful. I did get a second opinion, that pain was from scar tissue and has almost disappeared completely.

Cesareans are major surgery and can be VERY difficult to recover from. My last delivery was my first C-section and I didn't like it. They had to do an extra 'surgery' while in there. My ligaments were tearing away from my uterus. Having said that....you might like to insist on an ultra sound to be sure there were no surgical tools, gloves, towels etc left inside. How are you doing bleeding wise? Are you bleeding much?
You also might like to try doing kegels to help with the muscle tone, there is a possibility that maybe your pelvic floor has been damaged.
I asked a friend of mine about this and she recommends the following too: If it were me I would try the ultrasound and then I would also start applying BF&C (complete bone and tissue formula) from Dr. Christopher's on a couple of times a day. Because it's her entire abdomen, she might like to try the oil, because it's lighter, but I would then apply it more often. That's just what *I* would
do. She could also take things that would help boost her own reproductive system, red raspberry leaf, the reproductive formula through Dr. Christopher's and see if that helps. I continue to have contractions when I
am nursing etc and I can feel them for a long time and perhaps she is overdoing it and then her body warns her and maybe when she contracts she is feeling the pain?
Hope this helps you some?
Get a second opinion! And, a third if necessary!
Hi T., My name is A. and I am an occupational therapist. Have you had an ultrasound to rule out anything anatomically? Sometimes the muscles in the floor of the pelvis can spasm. These muscles are deep and sometimes require manual manipulation. My sister is a physical therapist that specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction. She has her own practice in Charleston. I would recommend talking with your OBGYN or doctor that has seen you for this and get a physical therapy evaluation with someone that specializes in pelvic floor. I don't know of one in Columbia. I would be happy to get you my sister's name and number if you can't find any one in town. I hope that this helps.
Hi T.,
I crowned and had a c-section also and ended up with a hernia. My little one was large for my size and the doctor said that that will sometimes weaken the wall and tear. I could only take steps about 4-6 inches at a time and felt like I was going to die. It was small enough that it wasn't found for a while.
I really hope this isn't it but thought I would throw that out for you to think about...

M.
Hi T., I have had 3 c-sections and after my last one a year ago. I was the same way. I keep telling my Dr. that I was have pain about 1-2 inches down from my belly button. THey said oh it's just from the c-section and I would have to let it heel. Well this past Nov. I had to have my pap done and found out that I had an abnormal pap and been throw 5 biopyscs. I just had to have a leep procedure done yesterday because I had serve precancer lesions. I was told that it is from HPV. I would get a second Dr. to look at you if your Dr. is not willing to look into it more. I hope this info helps. If you need to email me you can .
T.,
If you had a c-section, it is probably scar tissue. My daughter is 12 and after my c-section with her I used to have severe pain in my navel area. It would literally stop me cold and bring tears to my eyes, like someone was pulling a cord from inside. My doctors couldn't say definitely what it was but concluded that it was scar tissue from the c-section, which can cause an array of problems for women and presents in many different forms. It just stopped after a year or so. BUT that being said, you need to get a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinion if necessary. Pain is an indication of something, so you need to figure out what it is. If your doctor isn't finding anything, go to someone else, go online and do research yourself so you can offer them some possibilities. Remember doctors are "practicing medicine and they are practicing on us. But you are the best student of your body.
Hi T.
yes i had the same pain that u are talking about ..but mine came from the dr pushing my daughter back up in me after she had crowned to do the c-section and he missed up all my insides.. i finally found a dr in macon that helped me when she was pushed back into me it separated my tubes and then they wrapped around other organs and that was causing all my pain. i had surgery done and it was a great relief... the dr's name in macon is dr bucca i think that is how it was spelled and dont know if he is still there or not.... but the office in in the medical center hospital if u know where the mcdonald's is in the hospital when u come up the hall back toward the hospital main floor you take the first hall to the left... cant remember the office name but there is like 5 dr's in the same office... hope this helps some ...

I had a C-section that was a long painful recovery also. I ended up getting an MRI to find an abdominal hernia and diastasis recti (separated abdominal muscles). Educate yourself on all possibilities and insist that your doctors rule them out. There IS a reason for the pain. Don't give up and good luck!
Hey T....
sorry to hear you're in pain. I had my daughter in March of '06 and then got pregnant again in July of "07. I was having similar pain in the pelvic area. I also had a c section with my daughter. I thought it was just bc i got pregnant so soon, but it turned out to be an ovarian cyst. Very painful. The dr's said I should keep it in until I had a csection with my second baby, but it ended up torsing when i was 5 months pregnant and I had to have an emergency surgery. They removed my entire ovary bc I waited. (they told me to wait). Now all is well with my children and my body, but it is no joke. If u are feeling that pain, I would go get an ultrasound and have it checked out. You never know. Good luck.
