We see Dr. Curtis, at Pediatrcians of Dallas (214- ###-###-####)I'm not sure about the vaccinations, but they don't prescribe medications unless really needed. The advice nurses are real helpful for things you can do at home.
Do y'all know of anyone like that? Someone flexible w/ vaccination schedule and only uses prescription medicine as a LAST resort after trying other natural stuff and "home remedies?"
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DOC RECS!!!! I looked into each of them...I couldn't find Dr. Tammy Kennedy at Presby-Dallas, didn't want to do Dr. Agrawal b/c I don't like the downtown offices w/ Baylor, had used Dr. Dreiling's practice but really hate how they never answer the phone and you have to leave messages and I have heard great things about all the doctors at Pediatrics of Dallas (POD) and that's probably where I'd go, except that after already trying 2 other big pediatrician offices and being thorougly displeased, I just want to go a different direction. SO...I am going to end up going to Dr. Brenda Hampton way out in Garland off George Bush because my cousin went to medical school with her and I've met her and she's awesome and just the only doctor in a family practice so I don't have to deal with any more of those pediatric factories and can have a relationship w/ her as our whole family will see her. I only did not want to give my kids the Hep B vaccine until they are older and then no Chicken Pox vaccine (Varicola) and she was fine with that. She's older, but only recently went to medical school and she's got tons of personality and is the friendliest chattiest person (unlike most doctors I've met), so even though we live right next door to Presby Dallas and I wanted to find someone there, I'll drive for "Dr. Right," especially when I've had waits that were so long at the close places that I could have driven to see Dr. Hampton and back in that time. Thanks again!

Try Dr. Tammy Kennedy at ###-###-####. She was the only pediatrician I could find who would accept us. One of my daughters no longer receives vaccinations, after having a reaction to one, and my younger daughter has only had one...I was going to space hers out, but decided after much reading of both sides of the coin not to continue vaccinating.
My experience with calling many pediatrician's offices in the metroplex is that they would not accept us unless we vaccinated completely and on the recommended schedule. Best wishes finding the right doctor for your children!
I am not a mother - I am a Nurse-Midwife at Baylor who got into this group from a fellow Midwife, friend who is a mother. So my recommendation in more clinical than personal. I LOVE Dr. A. Agrawal at Baylor. She has two offices, one near downtown Baylor, on Live Oak I think, and one further north. She is very breastfeeding supportive, she is Indian and encouarages the use of complimetary medicine, and she is very open to delayed immunizations and a more 'wait-and-see' model of care if that is appropriate for a family. Good luck. L., CNM
Dr. Dreiling (says like dry-ling) of Pediatric Assoc. of Dallas, located on Walnut Hill & Greenville. He's open minded, flexible, and was great with my son. We stopped seeing him when we moved further away. ;(
Only drawback is the office shuts down for lunch and there's a phone system to get through before talking to a real person, but beyond that the doctors are all good.
###-###-#### is the office number to schedule a consultation (which is free)
