Julie Hagood at Walnut Hill OB/GYN ROCKS! I dearly love her! She is very gentle, patient, and happy to answer and explain anything you want. She is with Walnut Hill OB/GYN at Presby. Good Luck!!
I am looking for a new OBGYN. I don't know if OB's are like people who do your hair for too long. Mine used to be fine. He started getting cranky and I like to ask tons of questions. First of all, with my first pregnancy he insisted that I be induced. Same with the second - but he gave me this line that oxitocin and pitocin are the same thing. When I went into labor w/baby #2 he kept telling me that it was pre-labor and to soak in the tub - by the time I got to the hospital I was 9 1/2 cm. Needless to say, I didn't have to be induced. I just had a miscarriage with a 3rd pregnancy and everything I asked him he would say, "Like I said before" It was like I wasn't listening to him or something, but I just wanted clarification on some things. I want to go to someone GENTLE. I know it's a repetitive job and they see tons of women with tons of questions and problems, but I need someone who is a little kinder and responsive to my wishes. I don't know if this makes sense. It's time for a change. Any suggestions?
Thanks for all the responses. I found a doctor at Medical City with a very small practice. I am going to try him. Thank you!!!

I highly recommend Sandra Brothers & Melissa Crochet in Dallas. They deliver at big Baylor and are (still I think) the emergency Drs for the birthing center on Swiss. I've been a patient for about 4 yrs now after dealing with a different Dr. I've been very very happy with them. I love Dr Brother's nurse too. She's very personable and kind.
Like Julie, I highly recommend Susan Akins. She is gentle, warm, friendly, personable and takes her time with each patient. She is a certified nurse midwife and has all her own OB and GYN patients. She has two offices for convenience...one at Baylor and one in Mesquite. I prefer the Mesquite office because I don't have to pay for parking. She has a wonderful OB/GYN staff of doctors supporting her, including Dr. Matthews. If you prefer a male doc, Dr. Paul Payne is very much loved by his patients. Susan's phone number is ###-###-####. She believes in total health including mind, body and spirit. At every annual well woman exam she will ask you questions about your personal life like job, husband, kids, etc. I'm sure she's trying to find out if you have any stress going on. She's wonderful.
I use Speight too. She has a very calm, mild manner and is a wonderful doctor. Her partner might be a good option too.
I use Felicia Tillman at Presby at Health Central Women's Care. She's wonderful and is very patient. My girlfriend uses her as well and had a miscarriage a few months ago and was pleased with Dr. Tillman's beside manner. A number of my friends use her and really like her. I had my first daughter by C-section with Dr. Tillman last summer and I couldn't have been happier.
Dr. Maria Reyes and Dr. Elizabeth Stevenson have their own practice. Dr. Stevenson delivered my first little girl and Dr. Reyes delivered my second little girl. I love them both! Their practice is located right across from Northpark Mall. They are both so easy to talk to and the nurses are very responsive if I ever call to talk to ask them something or refill a prescription. They deliver at both Presby and Baylor. I highly recomend them. Their number is ###-###-####. :-)
Stay at home Mom of two girls (4 and 20 months).
You have described exactly why I gave up on OBGyns and went with a midwife. Susan Akins is with Women's Health Alliance at Baylor Dallas; she delivered my baby and is AWESOME. (No, it's not a nutty/crunchy/birth-at-home kind of thing; she works in an office with 10 ob-gyns and you see them also if you need to. And you have the baby at Baylor Dallas.) She is very patient, very low-key and reassuring, very kind -- absolutely everything I needed as a nervous first-time mom. She got me through passing a kidney stone while pregnant and everything. Anyway. There she is if you want to consider it.
Hope this helps!

Dr. Gwen Webster, ###-###-####. Office is blocks from Plano Presby/she delivers there. I saw her for a miscarriage a few months ago. She handled it very professionally. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant and I just had to be hospitallized to have gallstones removed. This was a pretty big deal and Dr. Webster and all the other doctors and nurses at Plano Presby took good care of me and the baby. I'm looking forward to seeing her for the rest of the pregnancy.
Hi L.!
I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you've been having and sorry to hear of your miscarraige. I have gone to a wonderful ob/gyn for years. She has her own baby and always takes the time to answer my questions. She is also very gentle and understanding during exams. Her name is Dr. Tracey Speight. She offices out of Presbyterian hospital. Her number is ###-###-####. Good luck and even if you don't go with Dr. Speight...at least switch!!

My OB/Gyn is Dr. Ann Woodbridge. She is patient and compassionate. She will listen to all of your questions and answer them to where you will understand what she's talking about. Dr. Felicia Tillman is also a good doctor. Their both located in Presby Dallas. Felicia Tillman delivered 4 of my nieces and nephews and also my son.
###-###-#### This is the number to both doctors.
Good luck.
