My husband and I recently moved to the Mt Prospect/Arlington Heights area. I have a great OB that came highly recommended from a friend, but now that it's time to pick a pediatrician we are clueless. This is our first baby and we really want someone that has a warm bedside manner and will be patient with our questions. Any recommendations would be great!
Dr. Walsh from North Arlington Pediatrics is amazing. Her # is ###-###-####. Is runs a little late with her appointments but you get incredible care when you are with her.
I just had my 2nd baby in August at NWCH and we are seeing Dr. Christine Duong. It is only her in the practice and both the Dr and her assistant are very nice. I also transferred my older boy to her from his other Dr. So far I am very pleased. She is very willing to make an appointment to meet with her just to 'interview' with her. Here is her information.

Our pediatrician is great - any of the doctors in the office are very knowledgeable. The office is in Arlington Heights at Central and New Wilke, just down the st. from NW Community. Their phone number is ###-###-#### address is 1700 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights.
We also use Dr. Slavik and Dr. Slavik. They are a small practice, with their wife/mom as the receptionist at times. They also do not have nurses, which I like personally. This is because you always get to talk to the doctor himself and they also give the shots, etc.
My girls see Dr Bernadeta Kordas at Pediatric Healthcare Associates; they're on Arlington Hts Rd just south of Palatine Rd. She's fantastic! My older daughter is almost 3 and loves her - she has great bedside manner, is very patient with first time parents, and has answered all of our questions, and we've had quite a few. There are 3 other physicians in the practice, but we just request her for wellcare visits.

We use Pediatric Associates of Arlington Heights & love them. Their building in connected to the hospital/parking garage. They are open on Saturdays & I have always been able to get my daughters in when they are sick every time I have called to make an appointment.

I have never once had to wait to get in if my kids are sick. Which I think is very important. Good luck and hope your pregnancy goes well.

I highly recommend Sanders Arlington Pediatrics, at Rand and Kennicott. They were our third place and by far the best. They are really up on the latest everything and everyone is very nice. 847/259-5900 (We see Dr. Schraiber there)
