Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina! Tons to do and lots of space!
Hello,
We go to parties just about every other weekend. Most of these places are either at Gyms or Chuck E Cheese places. I would like to do something different for the girls. One girl wants a 'baking' party, the other wants it at home. Being 4, I know whatever we end up doing will be 'fine'. I'm not keen on having it at home as we did that once and it was very tiring. I anticipate about 25 kids total attending. The making cookies party sounds fun, but I think they have too much energy and the boys from school (as well as some girls?) may be bored??
Any ideas are welcome as I know things book up pretty quickly.
I want to thank all of you who sent me suggestions and links to explore. In reviewing the 'cooking' parties, I was not able to get a location that was convenient for the number of children on the guestlist. However, the girls settled on a 'movie' party and we plan to go with that option. Thanks Mamasource.

If their birthday is in October, check into going to a pumpkin patch. You can all meet, walk around, maybe you can pay for each kid to get a pumpkin? If that's not in the budget, get premade sugar cookies (or make yourself) and get them to ice it with plain white. Then get the edible food markers and let the kids decorate their own cookies for the one that wants the "baking" party, that may be close enough. Then, the kids either eat the cookie so you don't have to bring a cake, or they take the cookie home as thier souvinere
For an awesome cooking birthday party check out The Kids Cooking Company - they do birthday parties. My daughter took a summer camp there and it was awesome! I don't know what your budget is, so I will warn you it isn't cheap. They are in North Dallas. The website is http://www.kidscookingcompany.com. It would be an unforgettable party. There is another company called Young Chefs Academy, which I have heard of but not experienced that looks great and also does kids birthday parties. They don't have their prices on the website, so you might want to check it out! They are in Plano. http://www.youngchefsacademy.com.
A lot of people are talking about pumpkin patches - if this is something you are considering, take them to the Dallas Arboretum! They have by far the best Pumpkin display in Dallas! They have 4 houses made entirely of pumpkins that the kids can walk through, a haystack maze, and more!
Whatever you choose to do - have a great day!!!
You may check your library or rec center if you want to do a baking party. They have rooms (at least ours in Carrollton do) with kitchens and also the room attached could have some games/activities to distract the others. You could set up plenty of tables for food prep at the kids height. Just a thought! Plus - party favors for backing parties are so cute! Aprons/chef hats/wooden spoons/cookie mix, etc.
Have fun!
I think a pumpkin patch might be fun. There are several in the area with tons of activities.
