For the fact that they are just kintergarden, that where the luck is. You could either make it easier with some island printed paper plates, inexpensive little things because these are children that don't really care too much for luaus or take any things you might go out of your way to put together. They will just appreciate food, cake, ice-cream, fun and good times, balloons, etc. The main thing is, your son will appreciate it. If you are able to find some card board coconut palms, decorative papers, etc but not to spend too much money on them (Wal-Mart or K-Mart), you will be able to come up with a theme, "E KOMO MAI." "WELCOME." or just plain "ALOHA." Wal-Mart music section has children's luau music section that will also help you out with the fun if you are planning on a music part...It's the little things that will make a big difference :)
