Hey everyone! We are having our daughter's 6th birthday party this weekend and I'm trying to think of cheap but good ideas to put in the goodie bags. We are going to a petting zoo for her party, and it will be outdoors. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Find anything animal themed or plain...pencils, erasers, bookmarks, animal crackers...etc. Easter candy is out so you can probably find little bunny candies.

I am not a fan of a bunch of cheap junk that wastes your money on something they will loose or break before they even get home. I would rather give something they can use that is also a bit of a momento from the party.

If you are going to a petting zoo maybe you could buy the food that they feed the animals to hand out before they pet the animals then a box of animal crackers for them to snack on after.

A little note book (could be in the shape of an animal or with animals on the cover, but it could also be very utilitarian and more "grown-up") and a small pack of colored pencils for each kid - they can draw what they see at the zoo and then have that to take home. as they wish they can focus on artistic expression or reporting.

Another idea, not quite as cheap but if you find a good deal may still be affordable: a small disposable camera for each kid, so they can snap pictures and make their own memories to take home. Alternatively you could have one or two cameras that they share, you develop photos and everybody will get some prints.

I used to get stuff from Oriental Trading. I believe it is orientaltrading.com. Good prices. I would also check out the Dollar Trees as they have polish, etc that girls like. Sometimes at Walmart I would get a pkg of nail polish, little bottles, and then open and put one each. I always put a tooth brush and tooth paste (Small tube) :) Good luck....
