Part-time Daycare in McKinney or Allen for 6Month Old

I am looking for a daycare that will keep my son only ore or two days a week. Everywhere seems to charge full time rates, but I can't justify paying for a whole week when I am only working one day a week! I would prefer not to use an in-home daycare.

What can I do next?

K.,
Hi! I understand your concern with paying full price for something you are not going to use!! I went through the same thing. And most placed charge more for infants. I know you are not looking for an in-home daycare...again I have been down that road. If you can't find a daycare that will let you pay as you go that you can TRUST then please take a look at my website. http://allaboutthekids.tripod.com/

I am a teacher who has decided not to go back to work next year because of daycare issues. My 2 year old son was actually SLAPPED in the face for taking a cracker off of the counter before snack time. When that happened I was DONE! I just want to provide a safe, loving, and comforting place for other mom's to leave their kids. I am sure we could work out something with price, depending on the hours you are needing. Just let me know and GOOD LUCK!!

Hi, K.! My name is K., and I live in McKinney as well. I have an 18 month old son, Nathan, and am 9 weeks pregnant with #2. I have been nannying for a family in Plano for the past several months. However, due to my pregnancy (and the high cost of gas to drive out there), they are now using a nanny service. I know you said that you did not want an in-home daycare...BUT, I am actually looking just to keep one child in my home 1-2 days a week right now. Your son would have one on one attention and would have another child around - even though a bit older.

I am CPR certified and have many years of experience in working with children (including teaching at two local preschools). If you are interested, please email me and I can send a resume and references.

Call the daycare and ask for a drop in rate and if they have room. Then you only pay for the day you use.
