I am looking for daycare for my 14 month old daughter a couple half days a week. We live in Broomfield and I don't want to have to go very far. I am a stay at home mom and would like my daughter to start getting more socialization skills. She loves being around other children. My husband and I also feel it is important she get used to not being around me all the time. Any suggestions of good places without being too costly would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Call the city and county of Broomfield. They have listings of licensed care givers in the area. They can even give you recommendations. Look on Care.com too. They have multiple postings of those that give care in your area, most have references and background checks. Also some area churches have "moms day out" programs. At Broomfield United Methodist Church they have one too.

qualistar.org is a great website to find childcare. You type in your zipcode, whether you want full or part-time care, and your care provider preference (home or center) and it gives you a list of places in your area. All the day cares are rated and approved by the website.

N.,

Let me know what you find out, please. We have an 11 month old daughter and we are looking into daycare for her 1 to 2 days a week. My husband and I both work but have planned our work schedules around her this last year. I am also in Broomfield.

I am starting to call around today.//A.

Another thought would be considering watching a child similar age part time. It would be valuable for both children I am sure. She would quickly learn sharing her time with you is a part of life. Plus it'd give you a little extra income! There's tons of mom's that need at least part time child care...

Good Luck
