Paraben Free Makeup

I have recently become really concerned about the whole "paraben" thing in my makeup and toiletries. I use Arbonne skin care and makeup, but noticed today that my Arbonne powder has parabens. Does anyone have a recommendation for paraben free cosmetics. I found one online, Jane Iredale, but you can only get it at salons, dermatologist's offices, etc. Is Aveda or Origins paraben free? Help! Any info would be much appreciated!

What can I do next?

Try www.everydayminerals.com. Their mineral make up is all natural, and great prices too!

I just remembered a company that makes a natural skin care line too: www.dakotafree.com While not 100% paraben free, all their ingredients are listed, and they used the minimum amount of parabens to preserve product quality.

Hi, K.!

Terralina Natural Skincare Products do not contain parabens. However, they do not yet have a make-up line, just skin-care. I received a trial package through another site that was offering a trial pack, but you can visit their site to find out more about their products, which I love!

I have truly been impressed by their facial creme, which is light and creamy, as well as all-natural. No, I don't sell this or get any commission from it. lol I just really love this stuff! As a matter of fact, I am going to be ordering their facial astringent this next order. :)

K.,

That is one of my biggest issues with Arbonne. They tout that they are all natural, but they absolutely are NOT- they use parabens & SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate)in most of their formulations- neither one is natural!!!

I went on a search last year & found www.evansgarden.com . They are a fantastic "mom & pop" business. They create only in small batches & everything is all natural & organic. They offer a great discount on your first order & trial sizes for most everything. Their facial cleanser- DreamSoap- is fantastic & the small bottle lasts months, b/c you use so very little- but ask which one to buy first. They give "scents" on the order form, but different scents are better for different skin types. I played trial & error the first time, but Kevin, Evan's hubby, let me exchange, etc.

Anyway- great company, personal customer service, wonderful profucts!Let me know if you have any questions.

I like Bare Minerals, then whole line. It's the simplest I've found.

I actually use Jane Iredale. You can get it online at www.janeiredale.com and there are also a ton of sellers on ebay. That's where I get mine since I can get it quite a bit cheaper. My best friend is an esthetologist (skin care technicican) and Jane Iredale is what she recommended. I have struggled with acne and was skeptical since I couldn't get great coverage with Bare Minerals. I LOVE Jane Iredale. It lasts through the day and is super easy to apply. There are also a few sellers on ebay that sell Jane Iredale samples, so it won't cost you a fortune experimenting to find the right shade. Hope this helps!

Hi,
I use a skin care line by Mannetech that contain NO Preservatives (therefore NO parabens). They can sell a preservatives-fee line because it is made using bacteriostatic water—pure, natural water in which fungus and bacteria cannot grow. It is all made in Japan.

I personally had never heard this term… but when I saw my (non surgical – borderline tree hugging) sister-in-law at Christmas, we though she had had a face lift!! It was amazing, I placed an order the following week!!!
