First of all this might be TMI, so i'm so sorry if this offends anyone.
My husband and I had sex and I was on top not facing him. The sex was not painful during but afterwards I had the WORST pains below my belly button area, I was almost in tears. I tried a hot bath which didn't help at all. I finally laid on my back and hugged my knees to my chest and that really helped.
Today it's still very tender, and I'm not sure if it is related or not but i feel like i have to poo, like there is this pressure around my back door area. We had standard sex, meaning it was not sex in the back door. Any ideas out there what could this be causing??
.
I am a physical therapist and you may have put an abnormal amount of force through your sacrum and need to have your sacroilliac joint or your pubic bone manipulated by a chiropractor or DO to correct the alignment. Its important for your bowel function to be normal and any future baby deliveries. If your young it may go away if a few days but the alignment is important so I would get it checked out. If there is still pain after that you need to see your OB to make sure nothing happened to your colon(hence the feeling to have a bowel movement.
Take care of it . Good luck

I also wouldn't worry. Things got a little thumped around up there...tenderness happens. I am sure you will be fine in a couple days. If not the lady below is correct, you could always ask the Doc...I am sure they've seen this before, no biggie!
You should ask to be checked to see if you have ovarian cysts. Sometimes they cause pain during/after intercourse. They can see them with an ultrasound. Hope you're feeling better soon! :)
I wouldnt freak out about it too much as i doubt it is serious but i would recommend having a doctor look at it soon if it isn't gone by monday. Just to make sure everything is fine on the inside.
My advice would be to talk to your GYN and make sure this isn't unusual - and be careful with that position in the future!
