Hi I went on the amica.com and got a quote of 1619.00 for a 2003 chevrolet tahoe for the year. I am going to do some shopping around.
I'm writing to see if anyone could help me to find the right auto insurance that i can afford. I'm a single mom with a 8 year old son who has been riding the bus for years. My girlfriend actually gave me a car wouldn't except a penny cause she to is a single mom and know about the troubles and struggles we go through. The car has some problems but thats not my first concern cause they can be fixed with time. I haven't had a car for years, i just couldn't afford one so i've used the bus for years. So, i've called alot of places for quotes and i'm high risk cause i haven't had vechile in along time (which i can't understand how that matters) and they want close to a thousand dollars for 6 months that is outragoue price for me. I got a better quote at geico and then they sent me a letter saying they looked into my credit history and couldn't give me any further assistance. So, my question is there anyone that knows where i can get insurance for a more reasonable price? It was all that for just liablity only that's it. I would like to thank you in advance for your help thanks

Wow, that sounds crazy. I don't know who all you checked with....State Farm, Prudential, Nationwide, All State are a few that come to my mind...hope things work out okay for you.
Stay focused and keep positive...God has a plan for you!
Hi, D.! I, too, am a single mother and understand the financial difficulties of raising a child solo. I recently switched car insurance. I had Progressive and was paying over $800 for 6 months. It seemed every time it was time to renew, my premium was going up. So after seeing a commercial on TV for esurance.com, I figured I give that a shot. And so glad I did! For even better coverage than I had with Progressive, I am now paying over $300 less for the 6 month period. And that includes Comp & Collision. My credit isn't the best, but I have been licensed for over 12 years. Hope this was helpful, it couldn't hurt to give it a try. WWW.Esurance.com
As much as i hate to say this try safeauto they give you only the minimum coverage your state will allow but they are also very inexpensive because of it. i am sure everyone has seen the commercials but if you haven't the # is 1800safeauto
Hi D.: Have you contacted Safe Auto? There telephone number is 1 800- Safe Auto. They have a history of insuring driver who have a difficult time obtaining insurance. And they seem to be reasonable. I believe that they will bill you monthly. You can use them until you have established a better insurance history.

Hi D.,
I have auto insurance through safe auto. It's really afforadable I pay like $500 every six months. I thought that was a great price. The number is 1-800-safe auto. they will give you a quote over the phone.
Try esurance.. I found an insurance company through them that was like $400 cheaper than everyone else, if not nationwide is great, that is who my fiance has
Hi. I am an insurance agent and unfortunately, your credit will be checked for insurance. Its called a "score" and it plays a major role in the pricing and placing of coverage. I would suggest calling around to different agents, ones that sell more than just one insurane (meaning an actual Agency and not just StateFarm, Allstate etc cause they dont have access to different markets). Progressive Insurance does high risk but I know they can be expensive. If your credit is not all that good and you havent had prior insurance for a while, your probably going to be faced with high premiums, unfortunately. Where do you live?

D.,
I actually have GEICO for my insurance. I actually went to them when my allstate lapsed. I only pay $500.00 every 6 months for my coverage and actually ordered my coverage on line and i received my cards within days. They are very helpful with information when you call them. It is easy to get a real person on the phone. Also a little FYI they have been in the insurance business for over 50years. They are not a new company as most people think
Hi D.!
I read your request to a girl in my office who used to work at car dealerships. She said you should give a couple of car dealerships in your area a call. See if you can talk to a used car salesman, they should be able to put you in touch with some smaller insurance companies who would be more willing to help you. They might require a deposit, but you shouldn't have to pay the full 6 months up front, you'll just need to make sure you make your payments to them on time. Good luck & I hope this helped!
Hi D.,
You didn't say whether or not you are in Jersey but I am guessing you are. I found an insurance company that is cheaper than Geico and has 12 month policies. Their name is NJCure, phone number 1-800-535-CURE or www.njcure.com.
I haven't switched yet but am planning to when my current policy with Geico is up in April.
Hope this helps you.

Hi D.,
Try Nationwide Insurance. I have been with them for 14 years and in the beginning they weren't all that high. Recently, my son got his driver's license and my insurance only went up $30 more dollars a month, he is only 17. Also, there was an accident that cost $6000 to fix my car. They paid for all of the damages to be fixed and so far my insurance hasn't gone up due to that. The accident happened 3 months ago. I have looked around out of curiosity and nobody can match the insurance that I have with Nationwide. I pay $110 a month for full coverage on my car and for my son. Not bad at all! Let me know what happens!
Lauri at Berks Insurance and Notary is great. She deals with a lot of different ins. agencies and would be able to search around and get you the best price. She is on 5th St. Reading in the little shopping centre where Eyeland and V&S is across from Manderbach Ford dealership.
I was paying 1300 for 6 months. Then I joined AAA (which is very affordable) and got Keystone Insurance through them. Now I pay 1200 for 1 year.
Muncie Insurance in Harrington or Seaford is pretty cheap. They deal with Nationwide Insurance. Or ask about Dairy Land .
They are good aswell.
Check amica.com. Pretty reasonable. Everything is done online. You can even print your policy on line. Only takes a few minutes to apply. Also, check senate insurance.
