It could be stale. Does it smell funny? Was it already ground when you bought it? I watched a program about coffee a few years ago and it said that many coffees are stale before they reach the store shelf. I agree with this because I've been a huge coffee drinker all of my life. If you buy the whole bean coffees and ground them up at home yourself, they are usually fresher than if you buy it already ground up. Personally, I've found that ground up Folgers is fresher than other national brands. I prefer Tim Horton's coffee (I've never been disappointed with Horton's). I would take it back to the store and get a refund.
